What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
If I could go back in time, I would make sure I looked into more colleges and went with one where I could get the same kind of education and at the same level, but one that wasn't so expensive. Also, I would ensure myself that just because I am a freshman does not mean I have to act like a "typical" freshman. Doing ALL of my school work is crucial and getting as many scholarships and as much financial aid as possible will really help in t he long run!

What kind of person should not attend this school?
The only person I say that should not attended this school is someone who does not love the Lord. This school is very indepth in the spiritual sense and the presence of the Lord is strong here. For someone who does not know Jesus they would probably not want to go to SAGU because of the Chapel service and the high regard for spiritual life here. Although there are people here who don't have a relationship with the Lord, and this is a good place to begin a relationship if they don't have one already.

What's unique about your campus?
The best thing about my school is the environment I learn in. There is always time to relax, and there is always time to work. It's a "laid back" environment that allows me freedom to do what I need to do to get my school work done, and it also allows me the time I need to rest when I feel overwhelmed.

What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
I don't brag about my school. I'm not really the bragging type. There are certain things that i know i might be better at than someone else, but i feel like a jerk if i openly brag about everything. I have a strong dislike for people who brag about everything, so i strive not to do it.

What are the academics like at your school?
The rigor of the curriculum here at Southwestern could definitely use a little boost. I like a challenge, and I think that the courses would be a lot harder if the teachers were no so helpful and engaging with their classes. Because of the small student body population, the teachers have great office hours and are usually available to help whenever needed.

If you're looking for a school that will feed your mind, heart and spirit, SAGU is the place for you! Academically, I believe that the course load and overall rigor of the school could be greater, but the abundance in spiritual intensity makes the costly and simple courses worth it all.
