I went on a visit to campus just to check things out. The campus is very beautiful and much more relaxed than I was expecting. The food selection was decent, it was lacking options on campus though, although off campus there are plenty of food options.

Great community college. Great place for those who are trying to get their degree in just two years instead of four. Southeast Community College has great and affordable prices. The staff and teachers are easy to work with, responsible, and care about their students.

The school isn't bad. Some of the teachers are very helpful and want you to be successful in your career choice. While, others can make it a little more difficult The college is priced at a decent rate in which it's affordable to students who pay for college themselves, but it's also nice to have a little help and less worries while your in school.

I am a blessed student at this college.

  13. What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?

I'm not sure. A stereotype I've heard about community colleges in general is that they aren't as good as universities, and that the only people who attend are students who don't "measure up" to a "better school." I don't think that's true. Community colleges have a lot of good things going for them, and that's definitely true of SCC. It's like a small town, a community in itself. Attending school here, I expect, will feel a lot less anonymous and more personal than a larger university. Plus, being in a quieter and smaller campus envirnoment will give me a chance to focus more on what I'm really there for: my learning. Speaking of which, I have every reason to believe that SCC takes academics just as seriosuly as any other school.
