Theres not much around Qu which means nothing to do. They have a huge housing shortage and give no financial aid. There also aren't many food options.

There are some parking issues on campus - not enough people carpool, in my opinion. People complain about the food, too, but I've never had a problem with it. I haven't noticed any huge drug issues, it seems like people here mostly drink and go to New Haven to go to the clubs. Overall I've had a pretty good experience here - classes aren't too big, and I've really enjoyed them. I wish I'd gotten more aid from Quinnipiac, but when I was coming in they wouldn't give aid for just good SAT scores, I needed a higher GPA on top of good SATs. My work-study almost ran out this semester, and there was a possibility I wouldn't have been able to get any more from the university.

Perfect size, beautiful scenery, great instructors
Would like to not have to walk so far from parking lot to class. Usually about ten minutes. Really sucks when it is cold, windy, and raining. Also, drainage is not great. At times it is like walking through a river on the cobblestone. Only ate in th cafe once...not good.
Labs need more equiptment. I pay a lot of money to have to share two scales with the entire class. Each group should have their own.

I would say the size of Quinnipiac is just right. It is small enough that you know a lot of people in your classes, and walking down dorm road, but big enough that you can get away from seeing the same people if you want to.
One thing I would change about Quinnipiac and that is a big student complaint is the way that administration allots funds & scholarship money. A lot of money is given to things that could be otherwise well spent-- facilities, ground maintenance, sports teams, new buildings, etc. More money should be given for academics and financial aid.
When I tell people I go to Quinnipiac, they say, "Oh, is that the place that does all the polls?" Or they look at me like they are wondering if I have a lot of money.
Quinnipiac has a huge night scene if you go out to New Haven- there a tons of clubs, bars, and good restaraunts to explore on the weekends.

Unless you get off campus, your life will be the same for all four years. Quinnipiac tries to keep their students on campus where they can patrol residence halls like the FBI. The administration is on a complete power trip and it seems as if they go out of their way to inconvenience students. The students at Quinnipiac are all the same and make for a very boring student body. The campus life is dead as a party consists of 9 people playing beer pong with music that is way too loud. No one has school pride because it seems everyone is against the administration that searches for ways to get students in trouble. It is more like a small boarding school than a university.

Quinnipiac in general is a good school. I think it's just the right size. Some drawbacks are: unreliable shuttles, cramped dorms, and not much to do within walking distance. There is a lot to do in New Haven, though, which is only shuttle away. There's some school pride but not a whole lot. A lot of kids wear college tshirts for other colleges, actually. I find most of the teachers to be pretty good. The biggest drawback of QU is the required classes QU 101 201 and 301.

Quinnipiac University: biggest upside = potential. Give this school a few years and it's going to surprise people.

quinnipiac is the right size. it's not far to get to class.

I like QU because it has a great health sciences program. Since i am a PT major it really focuses on what i wanna do when i graduate. I also love the campus. it is one of the prettiest campuses i've ever been on and this may not seem like a huge factor, but i really think it is. the size of the school is perfect for me because you can walk around campus and see both people you know and dont know. i didnt want a campus where i never ran into anyone that i knew. there is a lot of stuff to do. the shuttles run in and out of hamden every day every hour and new haven is really fun on the weekends. there are always sports going on on campus that you can watch or participate in and climbing the sleeping giant is fun too!

Quinnipiac is a beautiful and somewhat small campus. There are a lot more girls then boys here and we don't have a football team. The New Haven area that we go into on weekends is a lot of fun. Our hockey team is extremely good. That is about it.
