It is the best bang for your buck. The professors here are always willing to work with you and make sure that you understand the classes you are taking. There are many different options as to how you can take your classes online. 8 weeks or 16 weeks. It has been an amazing experience here.

I love Peru it’s a close nit community. The city’s small so everyone knows everyone. So makes me feel like I’m apart of a big family. Everyone watches out for one another and is very nice and accepting. The campus is nice they have crest art work around campus. There even building a new center walk area where you can study sit and socialize with people.

If you are broke and don't care about your future, peru state is the way to go. It has nothing to offer. The professors don't care about the students/ The financial aid office are full of thieves and dumbasses. Stay away from this school. If you are in already, get out now.

I chose to attend Peru State because of the cost. In comparison to other colleges, Peru is pretty affordable and provides quite a bit of scholarship. There are many opportunities to lead on campus. Class sizes are small and because of this, I'm able to communicate very easily with my professors and get one-on-one help if needed. The course rotation can be a pain since some classes aren't offered as much as they need to be. My least favorite part of the campus is its location. It's an hour away from any big cities. The nearest Walmart is a 20-minute drive.

    The best thing about my school is the campus. It's a beautiful campus with lots of trees and hills. I enjoy just walking around campus and enjoying nature.

    Peru State College is a place where everything connects--the people, the affordability, the education, the job opportunities--so there is no way you could go wrong by choosing this small town four-year community college.

  6. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

    The worst thing, to me, about Peru State College is the location. I have quite a commute to get to my church, grocery stores, movie theatres. I am used to living in large cities where access to activities is easier and the places I frequent are more centrally located.

    This school is a good school for any student who doesn't like big classrooms and lots of students and competition. If you don't want to have to study a whole lot, you should come here.

    Most classmates are friendly, helpful, and eager to help out if there is a problem, like missing a critical day of notes, or doing their part on a group assignment.

    I wish I had known how to study better. It had been so long since I was in school that I had forgot what it was like to study for my classes.

  11. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

    For me the most frustrating thing is if I do not understand something in a classrooom then it is very hard for me to get it. I at times have to know the "why" and if I don't get that then I don't understand assignments. Even though professors are eager to help, i feel awckward.

  12. What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?

    I mostly brag about how dedicated my instructors are and how friendly and kind the community is here. The instructors actually care if you miss class because of an injury, and will make sure you are alright. The students are very respectful and make the atmosphere at Peru State College enjoyable.

All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA. Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
