Kennedy - 03/16/2017

Oakland City University is a great university with a small town feel. It is in a country setting but is close to the small town of Princeton and the larger city of Evansville. The educators and administration are invested in the students education.

Molly - 11/10/2016

Oakland City has truly been a blessing in my life. I love the atmosphere and everything I have learned so far attending. The faculty is always there to help and available when needed. The faith-based learning is also a huge plus, for I have a very strong faith in God. I love that I can be open about my faith to my classmates, because it isn't really a hot topic in public schools. At Oakland City University not only are the academics great, but the spiritual development is also something that OCU should be very proud of. I'm proud to be a part of the OCU family.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

When I was in high school, I always looked forward to being in college and feeling all "grown up." Now that I am here, I really do appreciate and enjoy the experience more than I anticipated. It has a lot more freedom than grade school did, and I really like being able to manage and determine my own schedule for the most part. Since I participate in Varsity Soccer, it was definitely very busy first semester, but it helped me learn to balance my time out. I have loved the social aspect of college. I always enjoy meeting new people, and I have made so many great friends. Having a Christian environment was a key factor for me, and I definitely feel that here. All the classes are also great, and the teachers are very helpful. Overall, I am definitely loving college so far, and I look forward to the rest of my years here. I know it has already been valuable, and there is even more to come.
