I think that Kansas Wesleyan is a unique university that allows students to feel at home. We have a variety of sports, arts, and other extracurricular activities to be a part of. Students have a variety of ways to get to know other students and to be able to access their professors. I would recommend Kansas Wesleyan to any student looking for a home away from home.

I think it looks like a very nice college! I am excited to come visit and meet the faculty/staff. I feel like this is a good start for a freshman. I have not came to visit yet, so I don't know much but soon I will. I've heard great things about this college. I am a big basketball and football fan and I've great things about them as well.

Samantha - 07/02/2018

I believe Kansas Wesleyan has a beautiful campus, along with a very helpful and supporting staff. Everyone is very encouraging and the community on campus is very positive and up lifting. I couldn't have chosen a better university.

Tasha - 06/10/2018

I love it! My brother went there and had a great experience and now I am. I met most of my best friends in college and get a lot of support from my teammates. There are many opportunities to get involved that can depend on your major or what class your in or even what dorm your in. Kansas Wesleyan really encourages people to get out of their room and meet new people or try new things. And always uses the power of And.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

College is a completely new experience. Luckily, I went to a very competitive high school that prepared me for what was to come. A lot of high school teachers warned us about the difficulties we would encounter in college; however, I did not completely understand until I started. First and foremost, I would tell my young self to establish an efficient and comfortable work ethic. In college there are several distractions and it easy to fall behind. It is very important that you find studying techniques that best suite you. Also, I would remind myself to not allow procrastination. It is very important to be proactive about your schoolwork and to get it done in a timely manner. In fact, is extremely important to be proactive about your education in general. I would encourage my young self to practice asking questions and developing relationships with high school teachers because that will work to your advantage in college. College challenges your independence because it is an education you choose to pursue; therefore, it your responsibility to make this experience fulfilling.

  8. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

The worst thing that I would consider about my school would be the food variety and often the quality. The cafeteria food is not always the greatest, but we do have an alternative cafe in the student activities center which is usually good, but often is not. I wish there were more opportunities to fix food independently and more options to choose from within the cafeteria. I also think there should be options for the meal plan as well instead of one distinct meal plan for everyone.
