Ivy Tech Community College-Northcentral Top Questions

What should every freshman at Ivy Tech Community College-Northcentral know before they start?

Anna

I would go back and tell myself to tough it out through the crazy mess of subjects. Don't worry myself about what I didn't know and to nag the school advisor(s) for help. I found myself fumed with frustration but I know that my success today has everything to do with how persistent and tenacious I am. I would tell my young self to take the chance and go Georgetown or Morse House. Stay in the dorms and let the college dorm life sponge me into the land of education with freedom. The transition will be easy and it will come naturally, so submerge into the college life. Education is what helps to hold this country together and the education that you take in and apply to your life, can help you to change the world you live in.

Take the time to prepare yourself, and be ready for a big change. There will be no more late mornings of waking up and running to school. You will have to sink a lot of money to keep your car running in good condition, so that it will not break down. Just know what you want and go after it, no one said that it would be easy and it won't but be. Stay strong and determined to finish and you will.

Richard

To make a better plan when going to college. To set goals and learn about time management and how to use it.

Richard

My advise to myself would be to practice self disipline and to have a plan for my future and stick to it.

Kayla

I would tell myself don't rush into college if your not sure about it, if you're not ready for school then don't go. When you are know that there is always help and you can do what you want to do. Don't go with the crowd all the time, go when you know it is right. Know that you will become great in whatever you want to do ,because you know you will want to do it when you are ready to continue on to school. Study hard and know that you can be the best and never give up no matter what people may think of you. Also do not listen to highschool teachers when they talk about English papers. It is WAY to different then what your use to but don't worry you'll get it.
