Caitlin

I have learned a lot about myself through this time in college. I have learned about so many things in literature, history and math. I have learned that it is okay to be myself and still be considered social. I have met so many great people in college, who I care about greatly and hopefully care about me in the same way. IU has been a great college because it has provided me the opportunities I needed to succeed. I am certain that the lessons I learned on campus and off will stick with me throughout my life. I would not change it for the world.

A good and applicable education is priority in my life and that is exactly what I have attained so far here at Indiana University. The instructors are wonderful, the course work is challenging but offers rich mental stimulation, and there is nothing that can compare to the advising staff here. Education is number one, but IU has a fantastic social atmosphere that completes the package. Lavish frat parties, holiday gatherings like Halloween and Ugly Christmas Sweater parties, and local restaurants sum up a college experience like none other. I have been in many clubs and watched sports events, Little 5, and even concerts and it all has contributed to my wonderful college experience. The main thing everyone wants when coming to college is opportunities, and I have found just that at Indiana University.

Through my experiences here at Indiana University I have found myself and what I want in the future. I have had amazing experiences here! I have met so many people with very diverse points of view and backgrounds. I have worked here as a resident assistant for two years. This job has allowed me to help in the development of other students here at IU, as well as my own development. It has challenged me and taught me how to be an independent woman. It has also helped me decide what career path I want to pursue in the future. After Indiana University I hope to attend graduate school in order to further my education and pursue the career of counseling psychology. I think IU prepared me very well to continue on to graduate school and for life!

I have not attended college. If I am able to I know that I would've gotten social skills. and a education. It is very valuable to attend college because you need a degree to get many places in life.

I have learned so much more than I ever did in high school because the classes are much more challenging and actually require a lot of studying. Since I go to a community college I haven't actually made a large amount more of friends, but I am definitely meeting a lot of people. At the college I attend all freshman are required to take a College 101 course, which was actually extremely helpful because it made me learn a lot about myself and my learning styles. It also taught me how to study in a much more productive way than I ever have before. I want to transfer to a four year university next year so I think starting out at a smaller school is just warming me up to the full college experience and I am as ready as ever to go to a university and get the full college experience with living on campus and everything. Attending even just community college has been very valuable because I am learning so much and it's really preparing me for the real world and getting started with my career.

The purpose of education is to gain knowledge for future use in our everyday lives. My education will give me the opportunity to get a job that I want and like. It will also give me the possibility of working with the most accredited people in my field. I hope that my diligence in my school work will pay off with a respectable career, and a good living in the future.

What I have gotten out of my college experience is a great work ethic and dedication. I have learned so much from all of my professors. I have learned strong dedication to my schoolwork and I put forth my best effort. I am very dedicated to my job at school where I work fifteens hours a week spending time assisting other students in the campus library. My social involvement has expanded greatly. I am a member of Best Buddies where I have a special needs friend who has become one of my closest friends. I also have joined our club gymnastics team. I also enjoy volunteering at the local animal shelter. It has been extremely valuable to attend because it it truly one of the best times of your life and a major life experience. It allows you to develop your interest on a whole new level and decide where in life you want to go. College for me has been a major stepping stone, it has helped me to develop into a well rounded individual, an adult, and a compassionate person. A sense of accomplishment that I haven't felt from anything else that I have done: Confidence. Use this skill/characteristic that I learned from universities to help others and to get aroid of nerves when I showing my opinions or displaying my achievement to any audience. Knowing I can take care of myself and be on my own during college. Then I can be one what I want to be in a stress-less direction!
