Im not sure whats the stereotype ? Just kidding sure they must be right if they have come about then they are somewhat true. There are tons of kids from New York and yes they are Jewish, and yes they all live in the same apartment complexes and join the same fraternities. There are tons of hicks from all over indiana, and yes they are hicks. They run things here at IU because everyone knows everyone from high school. There are some fraternities (FIJI) haha that actually bypass rush and recruit students from their home town and are basically a cult. Are the girls hott? yes they are and there are plenty of young upstanding young ladies, and gentleman. This is a very diverse school and its a great school.

I'd say the stereotype for IU student isn't exactly accurate. While we do enjoy a good party on Friday night (and who doesn't?), we are very studious during the week. Sadly, the party reputation sometimes covers up our academic excellence.

In my opinion, not at all. The majority of students are academically oriented and focus on being a successful college student. Sports and other recreational activities are a great way for students to get involved. People party, but in moderation.

I'l have to admit many of the students I've met love to have a good time, but their also some of the most dedicated students I've encountered. Many students know what they want to do after school and I think that's important if you want to be successful in school and in life.

There are the typical college aged kids that do meet that stereotype, but they seem to always get flushed out. IU is concerned with students continuing their progress on their degrees and don't tolerate those with other game-plans. The majority of people that I see take an active role in their education and are very concerned with their lives. Long story short, no, the stereotypes are not accurate.

College is what you make of it. The way I see it, IUB has a lot to offer. If you are looking for an intense academic environment, then IUB is the school for you. If you are looking for a big campus filled with a diversity and opportunities, then IUB is the school for you. If you want a well-rounded experience, then IUB is the school for you.
