I am a Sophomore at FPC. This is a great school for students who are interested in Agriculture, Trade Skills, Nursing, and Rodeo. The classes are small, and professors are great to work with and available when you need them. There are tutorials and study groups available. This school helps find work study programs and has summer programs for students. This school has been a great experience for me. It has helped me find and reach some of my goals for my career path as an Ag. Teacher. I recommend this school for anyone interested in Agricultural Science and if you are needing traded skills this is the place to be.

Frank Phillips College is an excellent community college that prepares students to go on to a four year university. Everyone is friendly and the faculty and staff are always willing to help students. There are tutoring services available and there are several clubs on campus such as the Pre-Medical Careers Club, Student Government Association, Phi Theta Kappa, Julia Kasch Honors Society, Art club, and many more! Anyone who is looking for a small community college with plenty of opportunity for help or extracurricular activities and great academics would benefit from looking up Frank Phillips College.

The professors are amazing, they value their students, and always work with the their students. In the class room it is pretty chill and welcoming! The only thing that is negative is that you feel like you have just time-traveled to the 1980's with the facilities.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

The best advice I could give myself would simply be to relax. I look back at the two years that I've been in college and I realize that I stressed over the little things that I didn't need to stress over, and I think that if I wouldn't have, I might have had more fun all this time. I shouldn't have let certain things get to me, and instead of wasting all the energy I did on those things, I could have used it to excel in the classes I had trouble in. I also would have told myself to take the two college classes I had the option to take. They would have come in alot of handy and I probably would have graduated junior college a semester earlier and I would be that much closer to achieving my goal of recieving a bachelors degree at a University.

I can say that there is no stereotype associated with my school. Like I said, there are many many walks of life from all around the world that attend Frank, so it would be pretty much impossible to label a specific stereotype. All people that attend Frank are going for a common goal: either to continue with a loving sport, or achieve a good education.

  7. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

There honestly is nothing bad about this school. It combines a lot of diverse students who do not always get along or understand eachother, but without a wide range of diverse students, we will never know how each other lives outside the South Plans, or Texas. I stand by my opinion that there is nothing wrong with this school.
