Having that college experience gives us those wonderful skills that lead us to satisfying and rewarding careers. Not only this but college also gives us high quality education we need to advance in our career. So far all this said up above is what I have gotten out of my college experience & the reasons its valuable to attend.

I learned a lot about myself. Being in college exposes you to your weaknesses and strengths, especially when you take a course that forces you to look beyond the obvious. Realizing your down falls you can began improving them and use it to your advantage, and knowing your strengths helps you emphasize and highlight them so you can apply it to class, school work, jobs, etc. Only being a freshman I feel I have be granted with the confidence and tools I need to be proactive in making my future a sucessful one.

Attending in the college opened a new door to serious education for me. The courses I have taken so far provides high level math, physics and other sciences. My science classes included laboratory work as well, which were opportunities to feel the science with our hands. Also since English is my second language my English classes help me to fit better in the society I'm surrounded with. My physics classes introduced the principles of the world we are living in it with ignorance. Taking these physics classes now I have a better understanding of the mechanism of the world and I look forward to continuing until I will be able to apply this principles and understanding to have a better world.

Being in college has taught me how to be independent and how to live in the world. I've realized that I'm the only one that can make my future successful. Hard work and determination is the key to surviving college and being proud of yourself for your accomplisments. Without college, my life would be very meaningless. You may think you know everything in high school, but you really don't. College will give me the extra education I need to shine in my profession and give me the confidence that I need to survive this crazy world.

It is very valuable for me to attend college because I realize that I sculpt my future with my own hands. It is the effort I put into studying for my classes, and the hope I wake up with every day that I am in college, the hope that one day I will be able to make a living with the education that I was given in this university. I value my attendance in this university because it is helping me achieve the biggest and ultimate goal of my life - to be successful in my career and have a family that I will be able to sustain and make happy with the help of education that I am in process of receiving right now. I can't say that I have gotten a lot from my college experience so far since I'm only a freshman, but with the help of this scholarship I will be able to take a big step towards the success that I am putting all my efforts and enthusiasm into.

I have gotten independance out of my college experience so far. My professors have provided me with the tools I need to succeed but it is up to me to attend class, learn to use them and implicate them in my life. I have also learned time management while attending college. The majority of my classes require hours of study time as well as the time it takes to complete the papers, projects and presentations. I quickly learned to prioritize my life and school always came first and still does. The value of my college experience is unmeasureable. I hae learned life skills such as the aformentioned independace and time management, but I have also met stutdents just as dedicated as I am, and together we help and push each other to do well.

I have not started school yet. I start Cosmetology school in February. I am a 19 year old single mom trying to make not only a better life for me, but for my daughter as well. By going to school it will allow me to still continue with my goal of being a hair dresser and makeup artist , and maybe even continue on to my dream of becoming a successfull salon owner. After school I plan to find a job in the cosmetology field and move me and my amazing daughter out of my parets house and in to our own home where we can start the beginning chapters of our life together. This scholarship will help me greatly with paying off the last bit I need to pay for my cosmetoloy tuition.

My college experience has tought me responsibility as well as how important it is to be able to support myself financially. It is easy to get stressed out, so I have to learn to calm myself and evaluate exactly what I am having problems with, and what ways I can go about fixing them. Another very valuable aspect of my college experience is Greek Life. I joined a Alpha Delta Pi at Florida Atlantic University and learned how special the bond between sorority sisters is. I also learned from this that Greek Life is about more than just having a big group of friends-it's about knowing how to give things up for others and be selfless. Alpha Delta Pi's philanthropy- Ronald McDonald House- is a place where children go when they are ill and when their parents can't afford to take care of them. We do community service, raise money, and help out around the house. This has shown me responsibility and has also taught me to be grateful for what I have and try to help out as many people as I can.

I have gotten that without a degree now from a college there are not that many good options available. With my career choice I plan to me a Medical Billilng and Coding Specialist. Hopefully, I can work from home someday soon. It is valuable to attend college so that you can learn necessary skills need to become working class citizens to contribute to the world. We al l know that college grads get the higher positions and salaries. When you have a good salary you can hopefully take better care of your family with little or no help from the government.
