Durham Tech a very good school. The classes at all campuses are small, which I know is easier for some students to learn. The professors always make sure they can help in any way. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. It's overall a good school atmosphere.

I love the school! It’s such a great place to be. Although it’s not an university. It is a community college and you must keep that in mind. I completely feel in love with the Criminal Justice program there, it’s such an amazing program and I’ve learned so much!

Sara - 04/29/2018

Pretty decent for a community college, generally pretty good professors who are very passionate about what they teach. A very diverse group of students who attend of all ages, races, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations, and lots of international students. Not very many clubs, but the few there are are full of some great people.

Darrylleesha - 03/10/2018

It's a great school and I'm still learning it and growing with it though the years but it's a great place and it has lots of resources and options available for students and outsiders as well.

  3. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

There's nothing that I would consider to be worst about DTCC. The staff and professors are friendly and ready to help when asked. They have several organizations on campus that would fit everyone. If I had to say worst , it would have to be the bookstore because it is small and when its time to get your books the line is throughout the building and the books that are needed are out. Other than that, there's really nothing.

  4. What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?

Durham Tech has some of the best math teachers it has ever been my pleasure to learn from. They made learning calculus straightforward and fun, and helped me realize my own love of the subject. Mrs. Fisher, Mr. Mansfield, Mrs. Simon, Mrs. Boranski, and Mrs. Aguilar all have my greatest esteem and appreciation.

My classmates are a diverse lot of people from all over the world; they are Chinese, Indian, Latino, Caucasian, and African-American, all united in the common purpose of trying to better themselves and the world around them.

  7. What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

That I would of taken High School more serious than what I did do. I was raised by my grandmother and she stress how important graduating from school was, but I had very little guidance with taking certain classes that would better prepare me for the future and college life. I wished I was pushed harder in math than so I wouldn't be struggling now. That's what I wish I would have known.

  8. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

The attendence policy is the most frustrating thing in my school. I say this because I am a person who gets sick regularly and unfortunetly have the tendency to miss a few classes but seeing that we are only allowed to miss a total of 4 instructional sessions per class before being dropped and recieving an F, I find it unfair for students like me who may be hospitalized for extended periods of time; there is very little flexibility.
