Levette - 08/22/2017

So far, Digital Media Arts College is a very interesting school filled with a diverse group of students. There's the perfect balance of chaos and serenity within the everyday school environment. Overall the staff's helpful both inside and out of the class. It literally doesn't matter what time of day it is, you can always find someone to assist you whether its a teacher or student.

C - 07/29/2016

It is an art school with a very creative, intimate environment where everyone knows each other. There are always students on campus, even when not in class, hanging out in the lounge, playing video games. The class sizes are small and the instructors are very hands-on in teaching. The programs are completely focused in Graphic Design and Animation, so if that is your interest, definitely a college to check out!

  3. Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

Summing it up: DO NOT GO TO DIGITAL MEDIA ARTS COLLEGE. The few good professors are the only reason I'm half glad I went there. If I had to do it all over again, I would stay the hell away from this place. They WILL try to screw over your finances (the majority of students have had SERIOUS money 'moved around' and end up paying for it.) Not to mention every time a half honest good person begins working there they get fired for no reason (the Dean was fired a few years back and the President of the school straight up LIED to an entire student assembly saying he left of his own accord. Students contacted him and he assured them he was fired.) This school will LIE to you to get you in and LIE until the day you graduate. DON'T DO IT.

  4. Is the stereotype of students at your school accurate?

Everyone for the most part gets along nicely, it's a small school and the student community is tight.

  5. What are the academics like at your school?

The only good thing about DMAC is that they have a few good professors in each major. Although, their talents often go to waste trying to help students that shouldn't have even received a GED during class time. A lesson will start, and ten minutes in the 'special' students will be scrambling to keep up. It's really annoying to waste thousands of dollars on classes you'll just be getting homework from and then YOU do the research on your own because your class time was wasted.

  6. What are the most popular student activities/groups?

You won't have a social life the majority of the time. When you do there are some parties etc. that other students throw. On campus there might be cookies or something in the student lounge for a holiday.

  8. What is your overall opinion of this school?

I'm writing this in hopes that a student looking to go here will see it. DO NOT GO TO DMAC. The school's higher ups are very corrupt and the admissions staff will lie straight to your face. Their accreditation is a joke (seriously, admissions will lie to you about this too), the financial aid staff will make your life a living hell, and just so long as someone has money they can get into the school. Everything is going to hell in a hand basket at this place. I repeat DO NOT go there.
