What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
If I could go back in time and give myself advice when I was a high school senior, I would tell myself the importance of self discipline, time management and organization. It is important to keep track of important things such as due dates for assignments, school documents or registrations. I would suggest to be organized of each classes' homeworks, papers and readings. I should also create a method where I will use it to keep track of assignments and when they're due. Getting work done on time or even ahead of time is a key to do well at school. Self discipline is also just as important as timing and organization. If I have self discipline, I can then have time management and organization. Self discipline will stop me from procrastinating or not completing assignments. If I would like to succeed in doing well in school, I would develop good self discipline to keep me on track. By following these, doing well in school will be easier for me.

What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The most frustrating thing about this school however is the time. When it comes to academics, time is money. Everything has to be done ahead of time such as writing essay assignments. In my English and Sociology classes, I had learned it is best to complete and submit the essays far ahead of time because the last minute situations are what will mess up everything abd stress you out. All the resources at BMCC, you have to make great use of them to your own advantage, especially ahead of time. In this case, allocate more time to get things done.

Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
Borough of Manhattan Community College is an amazing school. I was able to discover my interests with phenomenal professors around who helped me decide on what exactly I want to study in this school, as well as transfer. At first I was a Liberal Arts major, but until I was given a clear information about Communication Studies is when I switched major to that. Also, BMCC is very diverse, I have befreinded a lot of people from various countries and backgrounds in this place, especially by getting involved without fear. I would really appreciate everything that I recieve in BMCC.

What kind of person should attend this school?
People should do some soul searching and get as much guidance as possible before coming to this school. Some kids seem to think that, since it's a community college they're attending, the school work won't be as difficult and they won't have to study much. I have also seen students fall asleep in class, out of sheer exaustion because some have taken an overload of classes. If one wants to attend this college, I say speak truthfully and frankly to one of the college counselors. That's what they are here for-to help.
