What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
You should definitely take the time to visit the colleges you are interested in, and go on a day when the school has a designated day for tours or visiting to get a better feel for everything the campus has to offer. Go by what your first impression of the school is. Don't let cost get in the way if you really want to attend a school, because there is plenty of financial aid available out there. When you first attend the college of your choice, don't get overwhelmed with the heavy class load. Take everything in stride and don't be afraid to ask for help from peers or professors if you need it. Take the time to relax and make friends through extra-curricular activities or in your dorm. College is the place to learn and get a solid education but also a time to make life long friends, so don't waist a moment of this precious time in your life!

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The worst thing about my school is the lack of racial/cultural diversity, although this is mostly due to the lack of this diversity overall in the Northwest. I would like to get more exposure to other cultures, although I get a little bit of that at Corban.

What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
College is extremely different from high school. You are now entirely on your own and your parents don't make every decision for you anymore. And you are responsible for keeping your grades up, your parents won't let you know when you are failing. Everything is now on your shoulders, and you hold the key to your future.

Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
Corban University is a community. The teachers care about the students and want to help them above all else. Class sizes are small so you get a personally know the teacher and your classmates. Corban University is also a Christian University. Unlike many other Christians schools Corban does not require students to attend chapel. Even though it is not required that students attend chapel about 90{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of the student body attends. I really enjoy this because it shows that the students truly care about their faith and want to grow more as a Christian.

What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The most frustrating thing about Corban is probably the dinning hall. Many students complain about the way the meal plans are organized and the price of the food. The quality of food isn't always the greatest either. However, we are grateful to have food at all, even if it isn't our favorite.
