This college is great for academics and activities! If you want a party school, I would go elsewhere. The food is great most of the time and the chef's special is usually delicious. The library and rec center are great places to hang out! They are a 2-year school, so are a great affordable option for your associates.

My experience here has been decent so far. Huge fan of the community college route with my credits transferring with ease and open doors to my future. Class sizes are small but that is a great way for us to get to know each other as peers. I have grown attached to the on site buildings and resources and rarely leave due to countless activities, food, and of course studying. Huge fan so far for those unsure or very sure of their future and wanting to give college a try.

I think that it is a great community college and I have enjoyed my time . I do feel as if some of the staff could care more about their jobs especially in the canyon building, especially the front desk representative, which most at CSI are helpful and nice. Other than lack of motivation from some teachers and staff the college is great

When I visited the college I was impressed by the culture and friendliness of everyone there. The buildings were nice and very clean. I ate at the cafeteria, and I loved all the food that I tried. Overall I got a good view of what campus life would be like at the College of Southern Idaho.

College of Southern Idaho FAQS

  1. What is the Acceptance Rate at College of Southern Idaho?

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for College of Southern Idaho is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

If I could go back in time and talk to myself as a high school senior I would tell myself to not over load on classes in college, to stay active in extracurricular activities and to take pride in my school. I would advise myself to check the cafeteria times and plan my schedule accordingly; a smart mind cannot run on low fuel. I would tell myself to take chances and have fun. I would remind myself that yes college is a time to explore my horizons and is a place to make friends but it?s also a time to be focused and study time is absolutely necessary. I would reassure myself that it?s ok to be scared and feel lost but that I will always pull through. I would tell myself that no matter what anyone says sleep is very important and skipping class is only for emergencies. The most important advice I could give is that I am the only person who can make my decisions and I am the only person who can take responsibility for my actions so I should always make wise decisions.

  5. Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

The College of Southern Idaho is a small community college. I personnelly like CSI for its small student to teacher ratio throughout the classrooms as well as the one on one time available with professors. CSI is a smaller campus but has lots of oppertunity not only on campus but off campus as well. In the CSI Matrix Building you will find individuals that are willing to go the extra mile for you if they see that you really want an education. They will work as hard for you as you would for youself.

  8. What's unique about your campus?

The low cost. I went to an expensive private school when I was 18 for three years. I am now attending a 2 year community college for a different program. The price difference is over 12,000 a year, and the quality of education is what you make it no matter where you attend.
