Stereotypes....Some say there's not enough guys. This is not true. Although the male to female ratio is rather low, there are plenty of guys on campus! Charleston....deep south....students aren't very diverse! This is NOT true! There is a huge diversity of students at C of C. People are very accepting and excited to learn from different ethnicities, cultures, and knowledge bases.

A lot of the stereotypes about C of C come from the fact that Charleston is an old southern city, so many people assume it would be a very conservative southern school. Everyone also thinks that all of the students are white, in a sorority or fraternity, and wear giant pearls and polos.
