Kristie - 09/21/2019

Blue Mountain Community College is a great Community College. BMMC offers a wide range of classes and the professor's are amazing. I have had many professors that have made me want to take extra classes just so I could learn from that teacher again. The classes are small and you get to know a lot of new students personally. There are some great college trips, like skiing and rafting. There are very few clubs though. Apart from the usual minuses of Community college, this is a great school!

Olivia - 05/28/2019

Very inviting and personal feel from the beginning. Easy to get enrolled and file financial aid. Success coach and team are there for you. Great school for single parents, and adult students. There are lots of school activities offered. I'm really excited to start this fall.

Rachelle - 12/19/2018

I enjoyed my experience as a student at BMCC. My instructors were all very helpful and patient and seemed to be able to adjust their teaching styles as needed, depending on the needs of the students. They pushed us to do our best and I felt very successful while attending there.

KyliSue - 12/12/2018

I love BMCC because it has allowed me to get my Transfer degree at a small price and let me live at home to save money. I also love the small town vibe and all of the teachers are great. They work with you and are almost always available to questions.

Blue Mountain Community College FAQS

  1. What is the Acceptance Rate at Blue Mountain Community College?

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Blue Mountain Community College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I would tell myself that it is very different from high school, because the classes are structured differently and the instructors are more lenient. In high school you feel like you are in jail, you are there because you have to be. In college, you are there because you want to be. Before I started college I was afraid to go sit in a classroom because I throught it would be like high school, but I was pleasantly surprised. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I am there because I want to be there and I want to learn, not because someone is making me do it. Also in college if you have to leave for some reason, you just leave. If you are done with your work, you can go. Even if you aren't done, if the instructor is done with his/her instruction your are free to leave. I would tell myself not to be afraid or intmitated, just go for it!

  3. What's unique about your campus?

The best thing about my school would have to be the low cost. Between in-state tuition and also BMCC being a community college, tuition is really cheap. Not only that, I am able to live with my parents while I attend here and save a significant amount of money by not having to pay for a dorm.

  4. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

The worst thing about my school is the limited choices of career fields. I would be interested in some other possibilities for a career, but this is my local college and I cannot afford to commute to a different one. Therefore, I am limited in my choices of fields to pursue.

  8. Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

Compared to many other school, something that stands out about mine is the fact it's not a crowded school. Although we get many people from different towns, it's still relatively small as far as the number of student are involved. Eventually a person starts seeing similar faces. Also because it is small it's easy to go anywhere and find a quiet, deserted study (or nap) area.
