Because the campus is huge, unless you have a few close friends, you can get lost in the shuffle. When trying to finalize your schedule, housing, finances, etc., the lines can be long and the processes tedious from semester to semester.

I think that the out-of-state tuition is reasonable, but there are a lot of fees that ASU slaps you with on top of tuition. So, if you do pay out-of-state tuition, plan on spending 15{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} more than that on fees, books, etc. The reason it is frustrating is because there is very little leeway in paying these fees, and they do not tell you about them until you are forced to pay them.

Different departments really aren't in touch with one another! It makes getting anything done really complicated.

The most frustrating thing about my school is most likely the lack of help that comes from counselors and all other school materials while trying to plan long-term. While not impossible to overcome, it is less than facilitating and highly, well, frustrating.

There is a beauracracy that hampers the creative energy that surrounds the students of this school. Though when a student pushes throught this permeable barrier he/she can reap great rewards for their efforts.

The most frustrating thing about Arizona State University would be how easy it is to get lost in the ?crowd?. If you don?t get involved in extracurricular activities it is much harder to meet new students. It is also very easy to blend in with all the students in a classroom. Since the class sizes are so big you are graded mostly on four big exams and not on assignments/projects/papers that you can use to help stand out from the other students.

Dealing with advising is the most frustrating if you wait until it is too late. Plan ahead and make your advising appointment early so you don't have to deal with all the hassle.
