The most frustrating thing about my school can sometimes be the fact that it is such a huge campus and so it takes a while to get around campus.

The first two years of classes involve large lecture hall type classes the are very impersonal. It can't be helped due to the large enrollments but it was very frustrating for me to feel like a person during the early years.

The most frustrating thing about my school has to be simply the communication between students and staff. All of my teachers office hours are during the time that I have class, so being able to make an appointment is very important to me. This is frustrating because teachers have forgotten appointment times and this prevents me from being able to reach my full potential during certain areas in the class that I need help on.

The most frustrating thing about my school would probably be the university's stance on the +/- system of grading. In some classes, to get an "A" you have to get above a 95.5{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c}! An "A-" is a 3.67 which can really hurt your GPA overall, especially when you get into the more challenging 300 level classes. Some teachers have the +/- system and some don't. Personally, I think it should be gotten rid of. However, teachers should at least use the same methods university-wide.

The three things that I find most frustrating about the school are parking, advising, and when professors cannot speak English well. Parking is expensive and even temporary parking spots like meters and hourly parking garages charge til at least 10 at night. I have found the advisors almost useless; I have always told them what classes I should take. I feel that I could be an advisor with not much training. Finally, in my Chemistry major classes, it is common to have teachers that do not speak English very well which adds to the already difficult class.

The most frustrating thing about Arizona State University is the parking. Parking permits, which were once $75 per year four years ago are no $250. This permits you to park in a spot roughly half of a mile from classrooms, and the parking is not guaranteed. For permits in parking structures, the costs is over $600.00. This school is not good enough to charge that much for parking. It's unfair to students, especially since tuition over the same period of time has seen a 20{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} increase.
