Amherst is a bubble.

Royce

love it here, a lil adjustment needed but you gotta love it

Tate

Amherst is a stressful but challenging college. If a person isn't native to the East coast, the different atmosphere can be very hard to adjust to, even suffocating. There are people and activities for anyone though.

Max

Come to Amherst prepared to take advantage of it. There are a lot of opportunities here for people who want to take them, but you will be miserable if you don't. Also, DON'T BANG THE PEOPLE ON YOUR FLOOR.

mel

our campus is beautiful. so is our president.

It's telling that Amherst students' biggest complaints about the school are so minor: certain entrees in the dining hall, the ugly architecture of one (soon to be renovated) building, the lack of a 24-hour library. The school is well-run, and almost all complaints that students have are addressed in a timely manner. Recent renovations to many of the dorms and good on-campus housing in general make living at Amherst comfortable and easy. Autumn at Amherst is absolutely beautiful. There's a character to Amherst that you won't find at just any small liberal arts college.

Nicole

The party scene is waaaaaay overrated.

Elise

Amherst is a great place!

Andre

A multicultural center is needed on campus not only for its supportive benefits as well as other attributes and qualities, but for the message it sends. It says that Amherst cares about nurturing diversity through a continuous education and exposure to it. Amherst prides itself on bringing in an increasingly diverse class over the last couple years, but once the kids are here no help or support system that caters to them is present. Amherst can't just help these kids get here, they need to help this diversity get out of here with a degree as well. The presence of a multicultural center states that Amherst truly cares about the the kids that they pride themselves on bringing to campus.
