I highly recommend St Andrews. The teachers are kind and always helpful. They want to see us succeed and will reach out if they feel we need help. My teachers noticed I recently was having a really bad two weeks, they reached out and asked if I needed to talk. If something happens and you need a few days to collect yourself most teachers really do give you that time. Awesome people and awesome classes.

Hunter - 03/16/2020

I love the school, it's amazing and everyone here is different so its a good chance to interact . The teachers are amazing, with a class size of 14:1 you can really interact with your teachers and get the extra help you need. The overall place is amazing and I would suggest it .

Kayla - 12/02/2019

It is such a great environment for students. If you're into extracurricular activities this school is made for you! I love the ways of teaching, and the classes are super small so you can get a lot of one on one teaching. I highly recommend this school and to even go look at it.

So far I am finding it to be what I expected. I am part of the equestrian program which is very good here. Equestrian staff is always accessible, even the very high up people. The dorms could use some renovating, especially the bathrooms. Its nice that all classes are on one side of campus and dorms on the other.

St Andrews University FAQS

  1. What is the Acceptance Rate at St Andrews University?

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for St Andrews University is 56%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

My greatest strength is probably my ability to socialize with different types of people. This trait would greatly help me be a great student at St. Andrews University. Being able to interact with people, I believe, is top priority for college and classroom interaction. I’m very down to earth; however, I know when I would have to take charge and stop being “nice” when the time is needed. I believe I have great time management skills. I deal with sports and academics well. I only save things for last minute when I know I can complete it with ease. Usually, I try to do my school work a few days before it’s due so I have less stress and more free time. Time management is a very important skill that should be considered in your transition to college.

  6. Describe how your school looks to someone who's never seen it.

St. Andrews is set on a goregous campus. On one side is the education buildings and the other side is where the students live, and inbetween the two sides is a lake. Students can enjoy lunch/dinner by the lake on the patio outside Belk, the cafe. Besides the main campus is the Equestrian Facilities. As an equestrian, I can account for the fact that I am out there 7 days a week. No matter where you are the campus is great, classes are small and personal, and you can recieve a great education.

  7. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

The food and the dorms and also the student life directors who did not meet up to my and many of my other classmates standards for events and dances held during the school year. A large portion of the money is used inappropriately and not to improve student life.

  8. What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?

Everything we do here is hands on. After ample classroom instruction, I get to go out and practice what I learned. In my education classes, I do field observations and practice creating and teaching a lesson to the class. In my therapeutic horsemanship classes, I practiced teaching in labs, and now I?m teaching real riders with disabilities under the supervision of my professor. I?ve never learned so much so quickly, and I?ve never had more fun in class.
