Pfeiffer University is a private institution in Misenheimer, North Carolina, known for its small, close-knit campus environment and focus on personalized education. It offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs, emphasizing fields like business, health sciences, and education, alongside a strong liberal arts foundation. One of Pfeiffer’s standout features is its commitment to fostering community and leadership. The university emphasizes service-learning opportunities, encouraging students to engage in projects that benefit their local and global communities. This aligns well with students who value a sense of purpose.

Six months ago, when I began my journey at Pfeiffer University, I felt like I was loved like a big family. Pfeiffer University is a private university literally in the middle of no where. Nevertheless, I don't consider Pfeiffer an university, I consider it a community.

Jennifer - 12/24/2019

Overall I believe that Pfeiffer is a pretty underwhelming institution that doesn't benefit students in any way academically and especially financially. The institution lacks a various amount of things from decent campus food to enticing programs and opportunities for student involvement. They care more about the money than the student or education.

sebastian - 12/18/2019

it is a hard cultured environment if you do not have a car. i believe that in order for you to have a good time at this institution is to be familiar with your dorm mates and make many friends. it may be tough as a commuter but i believe it is doable. i do not recommend this school for soccer however since after the 2015 champs, the scene would become dead and that would be the only thing that is carrying the program when it comes to recruiting.

  3. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

I'd have to say that the worst thing about my school would have to be the food. It isn't at all like the home cooking I would get if i was home. The food at my school seems to have no flavor. The students at the school I attend like to joke around saying that cardboard taste better then the food served in the caf. However, no matter how bad the food is a truely would not change anything about the school i attend.

  9. Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

It is in a rural setting, where as other schools I applied to were more urban. This school is a small private methodist university, as opposed to other schools that I considered which were large public universities. Pfeiffer is unique to other schools because although it is a small university, there is a strong sense of belonging to a family. There are no sororities or fraternities at this school. Although this may seem unappealing to some students, I think this helps to unite the student body at Pfeiffer as a whole community.

  13. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

Registration - during both fall and spring registration, there was always a problem with my financial aid. Financial Aid workers would give me more than one dollar amount of tuition due for that semester. I could never understand why, depending on the worker you asked, I was given a different answer every time I asked how much was billed to my account.
