I am very glad that I decided to transfer to Kean University. I was previously enrolled in a community college and I wasn't sure where I wanted to transfer at the time. But as I did more research on my intended major, I found Kean to be the best option for me.

Dwayne - 02/09/2021

Is a nice university, and I understand that due to the current circumstances we have to be on online classes, but its hard for someone who is just coming out from high school to really get involved in the college culture and to get comfortable with it, it has been my case since I entered last semester.

Goodness - 08/10/2020

Keanu is a school that has produced thousands of successful graduates. They do not only involve in academic learning only but also extracurricular activities which is also a form of learning. They sharpen student's mindset and make academic hours flexible.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I have gained invaluable experience in the field of music education. Due to the proximity to NYC, I was able to attend many concerts that opened up my musical knowledge, and I was able to study clarinet with one of the most dynamic international clarinetists in the world. In my education courses, I studied with two valuable resources in the field of music education; one a specialist in the field of early childhood education, and the other a specialist in woodwinds and K-12 education. The small class sizes made it possible for a close interaction between faculty and students, and this one-on-one attention enabled deeper understanding of the content being taught.

  12. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

The most frustrating thing about Kean is that it is not very much to do on campus. My friends and I hang out and make out own fun, but most times it is hard to find something interesting to do on campus. Also there is not much "school spirit" at Kean University. I wish students had more of want to be involved with the school. It seems like all people want to do is go to class and then get out as fast as they can.

  13. Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

HI, I love my school because it has small classes. It is very important to me that you can focus and ask many questions that you want. If it is many student in my class I can not able to ask a lot of questions. Then I might have problem doing my homework. My school also provide hot, fresh and variety of food. One thing I liked about my school is there is a train station five minutes away from my campus. Therefore I have no problem of ride. I love my school.

  15. What are the academics like at your school?

I can honestly say that every professor I ever had at Kean University remembered my name, and i have been attending the school for almost four years. My favorite class by far was experimental psychology. Believe me I am not a math wiz at all nor am i any good with statistics, but the teacher and the school made it so easy for me to learn and love this subject. My least favorite class would have to be any math class, but that is just because math is not my favorite. Class participation is pretty common, there are always some students that do not want to participate, but there are also students that do. For the most part if you walk around campus you will commonly hear intilectual coversations between groups. but other times you may hear about football or something, it really depends on where you are in the campus. I really cannot say that i have taken a unique class, but that was my own choice. I know that Kean offers a lot of very different courses.
