I have had a great experience with this college. It is online so I can tailor my classes to my schedule. I would recommend this school to anyone who feels like they are too busy to attend a traditional campus. It is an online university, so everything is completed online making it easy to complete assignments from anywhere. The university also offers a lot of resources such as free tutoring for challenging classes. They also have career services that help you improve your resume, get internships and network with past alumni and mentors. The writing center and online library have been valuable resources for me. The professors are very involved and easy to contact. They post lots of reminders to keep students on track and updated. They offer a lot of study material and additional resources for practicing. In some classes the assignments are thought provoking, and the professors encourage us to research our fields and find ways to prepare for the workforce. The academic advisors help guide you with registering for courses and answer any questions you have. I took a break from school because of my job and family obligations. I found out about this online university through my friend. This university has allowed me to continue pursuing my first bachelor's degree amidst my busy schedules. I have always been academically inclined so taking a break was disheartening, but finding out about this university gave me hope and gave me an opportunity to continue going to school full time without worrying about transportation. I have found it easy to navigate the online classrooms and the class structures make it possible to be a full-time student without feeling overwhelmed. I have had a great experience so far so I would highly recommend it to my peers. Thanks for reading.

This is my second time attending university of Maryland University College, and actually they changed their name to university of Maryland global College. I truly enjoy going to the school. The hours are flexible. The teachers are wonderful and we have the option of going online or in person. This school is primarily available to military and military spouses but other people go there as well. I feel like the education is pretty great and, the professors try hard to help you learn about their classes.

I enjoy this college. I got my Associates and Bachelors Degree in Businuess Management and Administations from here. I am currently pursuing my Masters degree in Cybersecurities and Technologies. I did almost all of my classes on-line and had no issues. I love that there are no books required for the classes. Everything is online.

  6. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

In all honesty, I wouldn’t say UMUC has any real faults or I have any dislikes. Like most universities, they have their advantages and disadvantages. The one thing I would say that I don’t like is how papers don’t seem to be thoroughly critiqued. I found that some professors merely fill out a rubric stating how a student did great or their work needed improvement. No concrete feedback.
