very safe and easy to navigate after a few times around, signs are everywhere if you get lost. The campus is clean both inside and outside making a safer environment for both students and staff. Staff is welcoming and very open with students when students are in need. There are also a plethora of resources students can use to make there time on campus better for themselves during there education.

Jadon - 05/26/2020

In my opinion, I believe this school would be a lot better if more than half of the professors were more organized and willing to help struggling students. The environment around the campus is very nice and secure, however the only issue is the ability of the professors to think about the future of their students instead of what they are getting out of their job.

Brenda - 04/28/2020

Need updates /renovations , more outdoor lighting and more vigilance.

Armando - 09/05/2019

My overall opinion of Purdue Northwest is that everything is very easy to follow and if I ever need any help with anything I can always ask for anything. There are very interesting people and staff that work here. There are many facilities and clubs to enter. From all the schools around the area, this is one of the best around!

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

The advice I would give myself as a senior in high school would be to give it my all. In high school I tried to do my best, but I never tried my hardest. I would explain to myself that trying my hardest really does pay off in the end. I would also give myself the advice of applying for every shcolarship possible. I now find myself in financial trouble and wish I would have signed up for a lot more scholarships. The last thing I would advise myself to do was to never give up and never let someone else tell me what I can be in life. Too often I let myself be bothered by this in high school and now that I outgrew that fear, I am doing better than I have ever done before. This past semester I got straight A's and done it thanks to my perseverance. All in all the advice I would give to myself would be to try my hardest and to give it my all no matter what I was doing in highschool.

  4. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

I think the worst thing about Purdue University Calumet are the Academic Counselors. I attended Indiana Unviersity in Bloomington and was absolutely impressed with my counselor. She knew my name each time we spoke and was well rehearsed with where i was in school. My counselor at Purdue Calumet has no idea who i am, what classes I am in or what my goals are. At one point she kept telling me take spanish, ive been enrolled in French. I have had negative experiences with my counselor at purdue calumet.
