The best thing about Westminster is the small community feel. The class sizes are small and every professor I've ever had, had a genuine care and concern about my education and progress.

Jordan

The school needs better parking and food. I do not spend time on campus unless I am in class or at work. It is not very fun, and there is nothing to do. Salt Lake is also boring, but if you try hard you can find something to do. The professors with few exceptions are amazing and teach you a lot and are sure you understand the material. When I tell people I go to Westmister they ask I am I rich? I am I smart? Do you ever stop partying? I don't really have school pride, I think that the people with school pride are on athletic teams, or part of the student goverenment.

Is your school too large, too small , or just right? The campus is just the right size--we get personal attention. How do people react when you tell them you go to Westminster? Most people think it is really expensive and/or they make a comment about how prestigious the campus is.

Westminster is a small private liberal arts college in Salt Lake City. It has an image of being expensive and it is no matter what people tell you. Also, the image is that you are getting a good education. The good news is that employers also think this is the case and so this is good for graduates looking for work.

It's a great school, small campus, small classes, lots of attention from professors and administration. support is there if you need it.

Westminster may be expensive, but it's usually well worth the money. As a transfer student, I have two other colleges to compare it to. The small class size really does make an enormous difference. I know that is thrown around as an advantage of many small schools, but Westminster really does keep classes under 25 students. Most have only 10-20, which allows for everyone to become involved in the class and opens the room to discussion. This is a format much more conducive to learning than lecturing from one professor.

Westminster College is a small liberal arts school located in a nice neighborhood, Sugarhouse. Within walking distance, there are many stores and restaurants. Campus is small, but very beautiful and welcoming. The size is perfect - coming from a high school twice the size, I couldn't have chosen a better school! Just a semester into my freshman year, I feel I know about half of my class. When I walk around campus, I recognize just about everyone, and know about half of the people passing by. Being a small campus, word passes quickly, so be careful what you do or tell people. In my free time, I usually am satisfied with what Sugarhouse has the offer: coffee, Jamba juice, famous footwear, panda express, noodles and company, ice cream, 1 dollar movies and etc. There is also the City that you can explore. The Gateway is a very nice outside mall downtown. I haven't used much of the transportation systems, but it's not too difficult to get down there without a car. Every faculty member is very supportive and helpful at Westminster. This is extremely nice, because then you don't feel like your on your own, you have Westminster to help you. Westminster sports. Well, we don't have a football team, but the University of Utah's team is right down the street if you thirsty for some college football. We have golf, volleyball, basketball, lacrosse, soccer, track, cross-country and etc. The basketball team is amazing! We don't have nearly as much school pride as any top 10 school. Westminster runs on a semester system, but also has an optional May term. This is a very cool facet of Westminster College. There are two to three week classes that you can take all over the world. If you want to stay on campus, there are unusual courses such as beer brewing that are really interesting. Westminster has an club that organizes events all the time. These are so fun. There are Halloween dances, ice cream socials, pizza tasting events, guitar hero contests, iron chief contest, rail jams, concerts, cosmic bowling, Lazar-tagging, and so on. Most of these fun events are free, or very cheap. A frequent student complaint is how expensive Westminster college is. I don't think it's that bad though. With 98{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of the students receiving some scholarship or financial aid, the price is not nearly as bad, and as a private school, the price is very good compared to those that are about 50,000 a year. Westminster College was the best decision that I ever made! last year, when choosing colleges, I was stuck between Westminster and University of Illinois. They are complete opposites. I would have been so lost and unhappy at Illinois, even though it would have been much closer to home. I was worried about being so far from home, but I actually rarely miss home.

Small, private school surrounded by a neighborhood known for its local/independent businesses, music, and artwork. The administration and professors care deeply about the students and want nothing more than for them to succeed.
