If you live on campus there is a great social life, plenty do, you meet all kinds of people. Once you move off campus there is less going on to draw you to campus.

ASWC is an organization that creates events for every week. These events include Halloween dances, ice cream socials, pizza tasting events, guitar hero contests, iron chief contest, rail jams, concerts, cosmic bowling, Lazar-tagging, and so on. Most of these fun events are free, or very cheap. These make Westminster a blast! The dorms are a blast to live in. I live in Hogle, which is a typical dorm format where I live with a roommate. I am grateful that I choose standard dorm living over apartment dorm living because you're not as connected with the people on your floor. You have 5 or 6 roommates in one apartment and even then, there could be conflict between you all and that is more difficult then in a standard dorm- You can escape your roommate easier. There are no fraternities/sororities and not many care to have them. We create our own "families." I meet my closest friends in attending the events organized by the ASWC and workout classes. On a Tuesday night at 2am, i am usually just talking or hanging out with some people and about to go to bed. This last weekend, I went snowboarding at Snowbird for a day, I studied another day and went to a party that night. I also went for ice cream and a 1 dollar movie. Weekends are usually 3 days long because most don't have classes on Friday. A Saturday night can be just as fun without drinking - Some go to studio 600 to go Latin dancing, others many go to sugarhouse park and sled down the hills. Some may create a relaxed girls night with dinner and a movie.

There are activities every week, the men's basketball team is awesome, and clubs and org.s always have something going on. Going to dances and clubs is pretty popular, as is bar-hopping and going to a local huka lounge. Because very few people have Friday classes, the weekend practically starts on Thursday. You can always find a place to hang out any hour of the day or night.
