Is the stereotype of students at Washington College accurate?

Gabrielle

Yes and no. The most accurate description I have heard of the student body is that there are two distinct groups, and that would be the Athletic/Greek Life people and the English/Drama squads. That is not to say that there is little diversity on campus. Ridiculous. . I believe in the past few years, Washington College has made tremendous strides to diversify the campus. Students here come from all sorts of backgrounds. We have a huge amount of international students here. Students of various racial and financial backgrounds. There is a little bit of everything for everyone. We have Greek life, Intramural Sports, Student Government Association, service clubs, artistic clubs, and even an Anime club. Don't even get me started about the honor societies (yes, we got Phi Beta Kappa.) In conclusion, Washington College is a small campus, but we got diversity squared away. It's not just rich students in Vineyard Vines pastels out to party away. People are down-to-earth. Students are here to make the most of their time, in and out of the class room. Don't underestimate Goose Nation.
