People do disgusting things in the bathroom. I never realized how nasty other girls could be. I lived on a co-ed floor my freshman year, and more often than not, the guys bathroom was cleaner than the girls. My advice: always wear shoes. But really, just try to be clean. You are sharing a bathroom with a lot of other people so it's going to get messy, but the nice thing is that you still live in a dorm. The janitors will clean up your mess and they are honestly very sweet people, so trying to make the bathroom a cleaner place doesn't just help keep you from feeling like you live in filth, it also helps them.

It's not all flowers in your hair happiness all the time. USF challenges me in more ways than one, and can be extremely difficult at times. I also had no idea how foggy and chilly it would be, so don't choose USF based on weather (I thought it it'd be better than Seattle).

You're going to have THE time of your life and will soon call the city of San Francisco YOUR home.

That we do not pay our teachers and athletic coahces a lot of money and they are liable to leave.

I wish I would have known the right tools for financial aid. I wish I would have known how much money on-campus living would really cost my family. I wish I would have known to only focus on school and not join a sorority as a form of involvement. I wish I would have known of all the possible options for students in need of academic advising and enrichment. I wish I would have known that I would have to take out more loans than I thought. I wish I would have been more independent.

I wish I had known more about different teachers and scheduling before I went to USF. I ran into some scheduling issues for Spring Semester because I didn't know enough when I scheduled my fall classes. If someone had helped me schedule my classes better, I may have avoided some unnecessary issues later on.

The nursing major is the most difficult at our school. Because it is so exclusive, there are few opportunities to take electives or declare minors. Several days a week school starts at 6:30 in the morning (and lasts until 7:30 at night), and even if you don't have class on Fridays you'll be at the Learning Resource Center working on skills or projects. However, success is absolutely achievable. Practice time organization, find a balance between work and play so you don't burn out, and never forget the reason you are working so hard!

It is very difficult to make friends. Everyone lives in different neighborhoods in the city and no one talks to one another while on campus. I am a very friendly person from the midwest and I made very few if any friends while I attended the school. The school is for wealthy asians directly from asian countries or for wealthy screw-ups from the states. I thought it would be fun to go to school is San Francisco but the people at this school are rude , unkind and selfish.

It would be hard finding on-campus jobs
