What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I would tell myself to stop procrastinating. The reason that I am not living on campus in a four year university is because in my senior year, I slacked off and didn't even apply to a university simply because I doubted myself. I didn't think that I had what it takes to be accepted into a university, so my plan was to wait a year and then start college. I waited a half of a year and was accepted into a two year university, then transferred to the University of Phoenix. Looking back, I did have what it took, and I wish I could go back and influence myself to try harder my senior year and to apply to as many universities as I possibly could. If I did encourage myself, I would be a sophomore living on campus at a four year university like the rest of my graduating class, and a whole year closer to getting my degree in Journalism.

What kind of person should attend this school?
Univeristy of Phoenix is for the full-time working student who may or may not have a family. The courses are either online or at nights one day per week. The assignments are personalized for students who don't have a lot of time during the day but are willing to put in work when they can.

Describe the students at your school.
After, a few years, deciding to go back to school was quite overwhelming! Working a full-time job I knew it wouldn't be easy, but, the first day I walked in to the student information center I was greated with huge smiles and warm hello's. I felt so comfortable and everybody around me made me feel very welcomed! I have met a few of my classmates and am thrilled to be in such a wonderful environment.

The University of Phoenix is known for providing a college education to high school graduates online. Any student from any state can enroll and get a degree from the university.

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The worst thing about my school are the few downsides of an online based class. Though more convenient, I learn better one on one in an actual classroom setting rather than sending emails to my professor.

What kind of person should not attend this school?
Don't attend this college if you have financial problems, and can't seem to learn on your own. Pretty much, you are learning the material from a e-book, the teacher doesn't provide any lecture notes to help you understand the material/subject easier. You have to be able to know how to make time for the class, and class mates are hard to work with on their time zone difference. You don't always get a teacher response fast, which usually is through student online forum. You have to write a paper every week

University of Phoenix is a convient school with very knowledgeable instructors, that share their experiences with their students as they've either worked or still work in the field they teach.

Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
There are many unique things about this school, but one of the things I like best is the 5 week programs for Bachelor's Degrees. Most schools require you to take full semesters and endure pain-staking lectures that most students do not really gain anything from. Here, the classes are small and interactive, and the 5 week courses make it seem as if time really does fly by!

What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
One of the most frustrating thing for me at this school is that it does not have a career center on campus, they have tools online but not on campus. I also wish that they would have a cafeteria.

What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
At first the learing teams where very hard to understand, I think this needed to be explained alittle more in detail. After the initial start and getting use to the team it is a great experience so far.
