The stereotype of students at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte is that our school is full of commuters. This stereotype is accurate. UNCC is expanding the on-campus housing, but the university area offers many nice apartment complexes and students choose to live off campus after their freshman year. Also, UNCC is increasing the number of online classes so it is easier for those going back to school.

I guess the biggest stereotype with the students at my school is that they are all commuter students.

At UNC Charlotte there is no particular "stereotype." There is a diverse population of people from all ethnicities, shapes and sizes. UNC Charlotte is a school where very one is welcome, and there is something that each individual can get involved with. Like many other schools you have the fraternities, sororities, and the athletes, but what is unique about UNC Charlotte is that this school offers over 350 organizations that students can get involved in. Therefore, each individual has something to be apart of, and no one is left out. UNC Charlotte is gradually expanding into a beautiful campus, and welcoming all open-minded students to come enjoy the ultimate college experience.

All of the above. Although through my experience there is less stereotyping then you would find in a high school. Everyone in college is more open-minded, as well as belonging to more than one stereotypical group, plus isn't it bad to judge people you don't know?

The students here at UNC Charlotte do not have a stereotype. From the very first time I began researching UNC Charlotte, they made it very clear that it was a very diverse student population. Upon arriving at UNC Charlotte, I was able to see first hand that this was true. Though the student population was indeed diverse, I did not notice a difference in the way the jocks, frat kids, stoners, geeks, etc. treated one another nor did I hear one talk negatively about the other.

A stereotype that our school has is that we are all dumb people because it is not a tough school to get into. This is not true, there are plenty of smart individuals once you get into your major. During the prerequisites you do tend to meet some dumb folk's but once you begin your major you getting involved with people that are both book smart and street smart.

That we're crazy! Most don't think of UNCC as being a school that has too many parties, but that couldn't be more incorrect.
