University of New Haven Top Questions

Is the stereotype of students at University of New Haven accurate?

Christina

I have to disagree with this stereotype. Although the school does cost a lot of money, especially compared to a state school, this stereotype is highly inaccurate. There are people who are only looking to party and may be up tight rich kids, but that does not make up the majority of the school. Many students are goal oriented and looking ahead to their future. To even graduate from this school you NEED to complete an internship or a research project. Therefore, people who slack off, end up dropping out or failing out of the school.

Chris

They are mostly accurate. Of course, there are some people who are smart and goal oriented. However, they are far and few in-between. Like I said, most of the people here have one concern; getting wasted and getting laid. Since people like that are immature and this is their first time away from Mom and Dad, you know what to expect. For people who go to college to learn and make a career for themselves, this is NOT the college for you. Seriously. There's nothing wrong with going out and having fun, but people here do it at least 3-4 times a WEEK. Thurdays, Friday and Saturday nights.

That may be a popular major but there are plenty of other students who aren't in the Criminal Justice college.
