Montevallo is known best for its arts program. Everything from costume desgin to theatre. If you want to be on the production side of anything including acting, this is the place to be. However, there is an abundance of Education majors. We have an outstanding educational department, who are hands on with the students in helping them through their learning. Our Speech Pathology program is one of the best in the state. Students from all over the world attend Montevallo because it is known for its hands on approach to learning. No matter the major, the education is perfection.

Our school is best known for liberal arts because it's a liberal arts school. But every major here as great aspects about them. Also fun wise, we are known for college night. Because we don't have a football team we have this. It consists of a Purple Side and a Gold Side. They compete against each other in various events like basketball, volleyball, and even a play.

My school is best known for it's diversity in people, and it's beautiful and historical campus. Not to mention it is has a demanding curriculum no matter what major you decide upon.

It is a small campus with very friendly students. The teachers are wonderfull at their jobs, and encourage each student to do his or her best. The advantage of it being a small campus means you can find classes easily and after a longtime everyone feels like one big happy family. I never get bored of this campus. I look forward to going to school everyday. The University of Montevallo is the best University ever.
