What do you consider the worst thing about University of Missouri-Columbia? Why?

Amanda

I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, so the worst thing about University of MIssouri in Columbia is the location. I hate being out of the city area and a lot of the people that go to this school are from small towns with not a lot of money. Also, my major is not a big program here so I am not getting that great of an education in architecture.

There's a lack of good sportsmanship here. It's embarrassing to know that other schools welcome us when we play there, but we boo and mock the away fans who come here.

Besides a couple of teachers I disagreed with, I really loved Mizzou and still wish I could be a student. :(

I really don't like the Sorority/Fraternity atmosphere. If that's what you like then this is the place for you. It's not hard to avoid it, but it always annoys me a little when that's all people talk about in my classes. I also don't like the bureacracy and having to run around all day just to get one person to sign one stupid piece of paper. That was always annoying.

The quality of food served in dining halls are poor. I can not stand some of the food served in the dining halls, I prefer to consume real ingredients instead of preservatives all of the time. I would like to eat better food that matches how much I pay for the dining services. I hate the community style showers in the old dorms that haven't been renovated yet.

The availability of financial aid in the form of scholarships. Being a nontraditional student it was hard to find aid except in the form of loans, and since I was an out-of-state student those loans were really high!

My school needss to be more racially diverse. There is less than 10{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} minority students that attend the university.
