We have the most beautiful views, most beautiful girls in the US and it's an amazing school in general.

How the school is constructed. Living in northern Minnesota, the winters can be very harsh and at UMD all the buildings are connected so students never have to go outside. Which means the cold winter air does not affect us when we are walking from class to class.

What I brag about most is school spirit, location, and school buildings. This school has some of the nicest buildings for each career path and has incredible equipment. Also, Duluth is one of the most quaint, yet beautiful places I have seen. The massive Lake Superior can be seen from almost anywhere on campus due to the fact the campus is at the top of a hill. The grounds are well-kept in warmer months and when during the colder months you can stay inside because the entire campus is connected via tunnels.

The are of Duluth is fantastic. There is always something to do. There is shopping, Lake Superior, parks, Rose Garden, waterfalls, trails, lots of outdoor activiites. UMD also has a tunnel system. You do not have to go outside to get to any classes.

I brag most about the fact that it is in the city of Duluth. Duluth has a lot to offer for outdoor recreation, a city-like nightlife, a safe and clean community, and beautiful terrain (hills, woods, Lake Superior, etc.)

As a freshman I will always remember being woken up on foggy morning to the loud melodious sound of the fog horn ushering ships into the Duluth harbour. The school slogan is truely inviting...A Great Univeristy of a Great Lake. If you have not listened to the song "The Wreck of The Edmund Fitzgerald" by Gordon Lightfoot I think it will really put this University into perspective for you. The legend still lives on and it is also a bonus that the Division I UMD Hockey team plays in the DECC which also houses the Duluth Curling Club.

I tell my friends, my school is very outgoing and sociable. We love the outdoors and having fun, yet have an understanding of our responsiblities for academics. Everyone is hard working and willing to give an extra hand to anyone who is in need of help.

The campus is not too big, but not to small. I am always meeting new people but I always see people around campus and in class that I know. I am always learning different things about UMD. Today, I found a large room filled with vending machines and couches, which I decided will be my new study area.

My freshmen year when the Bulldogs made a run at the Mens NCAA Frozen Four and lost to North Dakota (Die Souix!). Also that the Chemical Engineering Department is rated 4th in the nation(2008) for public bachelors degrees and that is my degree.

I never had to go outside if I didn't want to
