Ironically enough, there's quite diversity to the stereotypes about Michigan students. Many involve Big 10 culture--everyone's in a fraternity or sorority, football obsessed, rich, white and from the state of Michigan. Before I came to U of M, a few people had also told me that they've heard University of Michigan girls aren't as attractive as girls at other Michigan universities. When I got here though, I found that that was definitely not the case. Another student I spoke with about the rumor suggested it was a lie made up by jealous rejected applicants. Ann Arbor also has a reputation for being a free-spirited, liberal, cultured, quirky, hippie-town.

Lots of dumb Greek students. All students come from affluent families. We've got lots of asians. Everyone loves football games and wears U of M logos.
