The best thing about my school is the diversity. While it may seem that one race outshines the other, it does not. It is a great place to interact with all walks and faces of life. Therefore, going into a classroom you can interact with people you may not outside of class, so it is a great way to build long lasting friendships.

After my family suffered losses from Hurricane Katrina I needed to be closer to the coast of Mississippi than the New England area and transferred to the University of Memphis. Suffering for my family and from a mysterious health issue, I met complications while adjusting to my new school. Throughout my acclimation to Memphis and the campus, I never once hesitated to approach the outstanding faculty that may be easily found at the school. They are friendly, helpful, guiding and inspirational in a way that decimates any regrets I may feel for leaving the more popular, but previous, school.

Most of the students and professors seem very friendly. Some will go out there way to make you feel at home.

Location

The professors in the social sciences. They are very knowledgeable and are always willing to share the knowledge with the students. There are actually many professors who do not seek to fail students. They are always willing to help inside and outside of class.

The size is just right, not to big and not to small. The student will easily find their place.
