Umass is a zoo and every student is a drunk.

The biggest stereotype about Umass Amherst is that it's a huge party school, the people who go there love to drink and smoke pot all the time, and the campus is a wild epicenter for this chaos.

The stereotypes are are that UMass Amherst is a large party school and that it is a violent campus.

There is definatly a stereotype about UMass being a party school. So basically that makes the students drunk idiots.

The biggest assumption is that UMass is a party school- but one thing I've learned after my time in college is that EVERY SCHOOL is a party school! After hearing stories from friends at other schools, it seems like they party way more than kids at UMass. It might just be my group of friends, but that was my impression. Other stereotypes is that different kinds of people live in the different dorm areas. Central, the dorm area where I live, is thought to be where everyone who smokes pot lives. Southwest is thought to be the party area and where people who grew up in cities live. Northeast is thought to be where mostly people of Asian descent live.

Umass students tend to mob.

My impressions were that UMass was a big party school and that a majority of the students were a bunch of drunks.
