Compared to my bachelor's degree, the experience I had with taking online courses through the University of Florida was simply amazing! The professors were extremely responsive, and would not turn me away with simple answers when I asked a question. They ensured that I understood the concepts of the lessons being taught, and encouraged interaction with other students and teachers to collect various points of view. The coursework was challenging, but enjoyable. I learned so much while buried in the books, but I never felt overwhelmed. For those seeking higher education in Forensic Toxicology, Drug Chemistry, Pharmacy, and Clinical Toxicology, I cannot recommend the online programs at the University of Florida enough! Go Gators!

University of Florida Online has granted me the access and possibility of following my dreams while also getting an education. The ability to take my schooling anywhere has allowed me to pursue a career in professional dance and travel the country every weekend to perform and dance. The formatting of UF online is extremely user friendly and all of the classes cater to the students needs. I would recommend UF online to anyone who wants to earn their degree while also having a flexible schedule and pursuing a career.

Elizabeth - 03/24/2022

I am currently in the M.S. Microbiology program and was told that I need to take the introductory course track (two additional courses from the regular 30 required credits). However, on the U of F M.S. website, it explicitly states that “Students with prior experience in Microbiology and Biochemistry DO NOT need to take these courses, both courses are available as electives.” (Link below). https://microbiologyonline.ifas.ufl.edu/wp-content/uploads/Online-MCS-MS-program-overview.pdf The issue is that I have 6+ years of relevant work experience and have already taken the introduction Microbiology course at a different university. Therefore, I was asked to pay for this course twice. I have gone to the academic advisor Jaqueline Lee with this complaint, the department chair Eric Triplett with this complaint, and now have taken it to the Ombuds office. No one seems to care or listen to me in this program and keeps writing me off stating they waived a prereq so I need to deal with it. They also state that their program is cheaper than others so I should get over it. This school DOES NOT listen to their students and tells you whatever they want on their website so they can get you into the program and take your money. Then once your in they make up all these reasons why they need you to take more classes to get more money out of you. Total scam. Do not attend the online M.S. program.
