Trinity is an amazing little school with plenty of great opportunities. The community here is genuine, and the professors truly care. Class sizes are small, and students get more one-on-one time with professors, which is great. The academics are tough, but not impossible. We also have an honors program for those interested in an even more rigorous schedule. We are small, but constantly have things happening on campus and there are plenty of opportunities to get involved!

Lauren - 01/31/2018

Trinity is a great place with a very supportive Christian Community. The small campus feel allows students to get one on one attention from their professors. Trinity is a great place to be challenged both in and outside of the classroom.

Chase - 01/31/2018

I believe that Trinity does an excellent job giving students a wholistic experience. The faculty are intentional about putting in extra hours when students need help understanding the material. Faculty and professors are highly concerned for the student's emotional and spiritual health. The school equips students to be ready to engage the world for its benefit in more than just their vocational careers, but in the community and the home as well.

Trinity International University-Illinois FAQS

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Trinity International University-Illinois is 59%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

"Live because of, in light of, and for the sake of the Gospel of Jesus Christ." Back when I was a senior in high school, I did not at all understand the ultimate significance of the Christian Gospel, that I am a depraved and condemned sinner in desperate need of grace, and that God fulfilled my desperate need by sending His Son Jesus Christ to take upon Himself the wrath of judgment that was due to me, and being resurrected that I too may live beyond death. I now understand that the Gospel is not just an important part of Christianity, but the very centerpiece of all of existence. I would tell myself that the Gospel is the purest of motivations for any decision or action, the clearest of philosophies for viewing life, and the most fulfilling of pruposes for living. None compares, and none will bring God more glory and bring you more delight in Him. Upon sinning, return to the Gospel, and find hope and repentance. Upon righteous actions, place your faith in the Gospel, for there is nothing a sinner can contribute to his own salvation, but Jesus's sacrifice is sufficient for salvation.

It is most known for its community and environment. Well-trained professors and staff at trinity provide an amazing environment to learn. 5. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

The school is a priviate Christian school, and as such it strives to protect its students with student expectations. These expectations include no drinking, no smoking ect. These rules are helpful to young students who are not use to living on thier own, or making choices for themselves. The frustration was that some students found the expectations too restrictive, but the expectations also created a safer enviornment than many other college campuses. If the safety of the campus could have been provided in a way that still allowed more freedom of choice, it would have been better.

The people (students) and the professors are unlike any other people i've ever met. The support from friends and the guidance of professors are a major aspect at Trinity. 10. Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

The small campus makes it easy to get to know a lot of people without the pressure that larger schools put on students to find a scoial group, making it less stressful in that aspect. The small classes allow for teachers to take an individual approach with each student.

  11. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

There's not much negative for me to say, but I would have liked more practical application in the learning process and less emphasis on research and theoretical discussion. While all of these elements were present and helpful in my education, I think I would have changed the balance a little if I could.

  13. What kind of person should not attend this school?

The kind of person that should not attend this school is one whom is essentially looking for a party in college. Trinity International University is a very small Christian private school that holds tight restrictions on alcohol, drugs and even males going into female dorms and vice a versa. TIU very much wants to uphold Christian values on its campus and expects its students to follow the its rules, which include going to chapel three times a week and obeying "open hours." Its rules are not; however, as strict as those at other Christian universities such as Liberty University.
