I think the best thing about UTA is the automatic scholarship that UTA has to offer to its prospective freshman. You get a automatic 2000 scholarship for being the top 10{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} and depending on your SAT/ACT score you also get a certain amount of money, despite your financial standing.

I think its great, school is the right size, people are proud when I tell them I go here, and the campus is close to everything you would need. Its a small college town within a great city.

The school is a public school that is evolving every day in an extremely fast pace. The size of it its just right, 35,000 students and many buildings to cover all the major fields of studies makes it cozy but at the same time not too small. Definetly the best thing right now is how the school is progressing as far as classes and mainly for the athletic part of it,with a lot of involvement from the community. Unlike other schools that have been established many many years ago, UTA is relatively new so unfortunately the school pride along with the tradition of the families is not quite there yet but the school is really trying to do their best in order to reach to that standard. People don't have a bad reaction when you tell them that you are attending UTA because it is not a bad school, it does not have a bad reputation and is in a quite big city, Arlington. Everyone that i talked to knew about the existence of it, so it is not like its something so remote that they don't even know about, so that is very good. The campus has a University center and a library that are the two major places where we all hang out but definitely one thing that I would change is the arrangement of the University Center along with the food section, all the fast foods that we have, have regular prices just like in the city and for students are not to cheap. The most common complain is about parking, but again as said earlier, since the school is expanding tremendously also many parking garages are getting built. One or I would say the biggest controversy now on campus is the fact that thje campus is a "tabacco free" campus, making it one of the most clean places to be in the city.

UTA is pretty great. There are a lot of students but it still feels like a small community. I'm from a really small place but I felt right at home. There are a lot of changes bin made right now. A new gym, parking lots, and apartments are going up now. We became a non-smoking campus last fall and a lot of students were upset. However, more were pleased than not.

I think that the University of Texas at Arlington is growing and improving. I know that when I was in high school many students didn't look at it as somewhere to go, especially because it was so close to the area, but I think that the university is doing better. For example, the special events center just opened on Wednesday and it's amazing. Also, we are working on becoming a Tier 1 university.

This school is the right size so there's lot of opportunities for a one-on-one relationship with professors which I think is great!
