I am very glad that I decided to go to this school because I have developed into a more influential leader. I really enjoy my school, however, there are some things that need to be reconstructed. Minority students do not have a impact on the changes on the campus like other students. This is something that I and my fellow peers are working to change this aspect.

I would not recommend UTA to anyone else. I am in a good academic program and my credits don't seem to transfer anywhere else, that is the only reason I am there. While UTA does have good academics, the atmosphere is scary and not friendly or safe.

It's a very good school, that is academically challenging. And has a great learning environment.

What school? University of Texas Arlington? It's great, the teachers are helpful and the students are so nice.

This university is taking steps to become a degree mill. I am in one of their online programs and I am receiving the worst education I've ever received (and I have attended another university, a community college, and a foreign language institute). I currently almost have a 4.0, which has been challenging to maintain, but not because the information has been challenging. It is because the busy-work has nit-picky ways for people to lose points. I am forbidden to refer any questions to my professor, because the professor has delegated all student interaction to "academic coaches" who are not employees of UTA, but contracted workers for a company called "StateU.com".
I maintain my high GPA because I have always just learned by reading material, but as I see postings on the forums, I see that I have many fellow classmates who are refused any instruction beyond the videos we access on the class sites. "Academic coaches" do not clarify any information, they only redirect confused students back to the class syllabus or assignment instructions. I have emailed questions to the coaches (we are absolutely forbidden to try to contact actual instructors) and the responses always sound "cut-and-paste", like they are just customer support at Sony. I see frequent posts from other students indicating that without teacher support, they are not getting the information. Others seem to have figured out that low-quality work is just as good as high-quality work, as long as you get the font and reference page correct.
Student support in admissions and financial aid is slow and rude, but that is true for most schools I've attended.
I regret my time at UTA, and feel like I have just given them several thousand for a slip of paper saying "you now have a Bachelors". I highly recommend finding a different school.

It's an ok school. Parking is horrible, math classes are unreasonably hard so most people use transfer credits. It's a commuter campus but UTA is trying to change that.

I am really in love with UTA! There's always someone new to meet, somewhere new to check out, something new to do. Campus is pretty big, considering there are over 33,000 students enrolled, but it's really fascinating just thinking UTA could be its own small city.
UTA has great programs, especially for Science and Business majors. Professors are always eager to help, all you have to do is ask. When I first applied, UTA would call me and let me know how my application was going so far, and that's what made me really decide to attend here. They pay really close attention to individuals even if there are tens of thousands of others. School pride is quite important, for basketball especially, but I think it would be even more evident if we had a football team.
However, one of the most complained about things is how the Plaza, where students eat and get lunch, should be larger because it's always full and packed. I absolutely agree with that and I do believe UTA is planning to do something about that.

I love going to UTA. It is a little crowded when it comes to parking but I get dropped off so I don't have to worry about that. I spend most of my time on campus at the music building since I am a music major, but also at the UC, that is where people meet and eat, and the library since I work part time there. We do not have a football team but we have a marching band and our basketball team makes up for that.
