I'm currently enrolled in their early college program and it's excellent. I love the school! The professors I've had were very responsive and the advising is very helpful. I love the campus, it's beautiful. I will say, the parking is a little expensive, and there's not many spaces available sometimes, but its manageable.

It is a very pretty campus and seems like a great environment with so many things to do while having great education. I am so excited to become a freshman next year because every time I have visited it just makes me more excited to go back every time. From all the recreational sports and events they are having to the Greek like this college makes me so excited to start my college experience.

When I first began my studies in 2020, the world was in the midst of the pandemic, and all my classes were online. Transitioning to college in this way was definitely challenging, but the University of Alabama did an impressive job adapting to the situation. The professors were patient and understanding, often going the extra mile to make sure students felt connected despite the physical distance. They provided virtual office hours, discussion boards, and plenty of digital resources to ensure we still had access to the help we needed. One thing I was especially grateful for was the sense of community the university maintained, even in a virtual setting. UA is known for its vibrant campus life, and although we couldn’t physically be on campus at first, the school hosted virtual events, clubs, and student support groups. This helped me feel like I was still part of something bigger, even while working from my bedroom. Once in-person learning resumed, stepping onto campus for the first time felt surreal. The school spirit is as strong as they say — the energy of Tuscaloosa and the pride for Alabama football is something you can’t fully appreciate until you’re there in person. The return to campus also made me realize how valuable the University’s resources are, from the beautiful libraries to state-of-the-art facilities, which made the latter half of my education a completely different (and enriching) experience.

The University of Alabama is an amazing school that I would recommend to anyone who is searching for further education. UA offers so many resources for student success that it is nearly impossible to do bad here. Student housing is amazing and the dining center offers quality food as well.

  19. What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?

I am Greek, and I love it. It was the right decision for me and it has made all the difference in my college experience. Going Greek isnt right for everyone, some people enjoy making friends on their own. Some dont have the time to devote to an active Greek life. Being Greek doesnt make you king of the school, it makes you a person with such a strong bond to your sisters and your campus that you cant help but want to be involved on campus. Some people find that bond without Greek life but I cant imagine my life any different without my sisters.

  21. Describe the dorms.

There are many different dorm options at the University of Alabama. Some are new than others. If you are looking for space and newer facilities, then Riverside or Ridgecrest are a good choice. Both these dorms were recently built. They include kitchens and living rooms. Each dorm unit sleeps 4 people with 2 bathrooms. However, for girls, most choose Tutwiler. This is because of the location. It is closest to campus and classes. Also, it is right next to sorority row which is a plus for those in sororities. However, Tutwiler is very old and has community bathrooms. For some people this is a major turn-off.
