I brag that Texas State not only has a beautiful campus but a beautiful city and surrounding areas. The mix of city and country gives San Marcos a home town but big area feel. Floating the river is probably the thing I most brag about though. Being able to just hop in a clear, cool, fresh river and float down it or spend sometime outside is the number one thing most people think of when they think of Texas State in San Marcos. Also, the food options on campus are so awesome!!

One of the best things about San Marcos is the beautiful and relaxing river where students lay-out or float. There are wonderfully green and lush trees that give off a paradise feel in the hot Texas climate. Being ranked as one of the prettiest campus' isn't the only thing I brag about, I also mention how perfect San Marcos' location is because Austin is only 20 minutes away and there is New Braunsfels and San Antonio in close range as well. A beautiful and San Marcos' amazing location are top things I brag about.

I brag the most on that its is like a small town and not a big big campus where students get lost. The university is big but not so big where you get scared and lost. Classes are ok, teachers are also nice and the classmates are friendly.

When talking about college, I boast most about the community in which Texas State University provides. The university is large enough to have diverse students, but small enough to where feeling at home is guaranteed. Because of the community, it is simple to get involved in something more than sorority or fraternity life.

That I get a free exercise waliking all over campus.

They have many activities to join in on. I am most impressed with their Gym/Workout room.

We have a real river running through our campus and city! We are also located between Austin and San Antonio, two metropolises full of fun. Many students also have fun exploring San Marcos. We have outlet malls, countless restaurants, and several shops around the town square. San Marcos is easily accessible to any environment--to the east, we have rural areas. To the west, the Texas Hill Country. To the north and south, we have two of the largest cities in Texas, not to mention the fact that our campus is full of friendly faces. What more do you need?!

The scenery around campus is just amazing. The plants are beautifully landscaped and the buildings seem to have been worked naturally into the Earth. You can take hikes at the north edge of the campus or jog on a trail by the river on the south edge of school. Or if you don?t feel like jogging, the entire campus is constant hills and steps so it?s like getting a workout just walking to class!

I brag mostly about my favorite professors and how interested I am in the things I am learning.

I brag to my friends at how well the teachers teach. All of the professors I have encountered here have been teachers first and experts in thier field second. This is important because I feel it helps them relate to the different learning styles that exist within the classroom.
