Texas A&M is considered to be among the friendliest campus in the nation. I find this to be extremely important in the way the students interact with each other and create a working environment. My school is also well known in many sports and in research studies and other academic areas. I find all of these things to be really important because it shows the well roundedness of the students that attend this school and that it doesn't focus on just one area of study like many other schools.

The atmosphere of students attending is the best thing about the school. Each student you meet will be glad to help you no matter what and is willing to befriend a complete stranger. Compassionate, kind and thoughtful are a few words to describe not only the students but the faculty and staff. The school's culture sets it apart from others by be open, honest and proud.

Going to A&M is like becoming part of an enormous family composed of current students and alumni, and this is something that will last forever, not just while you are actually attending school. I loved coming to A&M because I was welcomed with open arms and enthusiasm. It makes me feel like I am important and not just one fish in a giant ocean.

The Aggie community goes all over the world. Graduates of this school always accept each other as friends on site. Although the student organizations are usually very competitve, A&M has more organizations than any other shcool in the nation. This allows you to find something to get involved in fitting to your personality.

The best think about Texas A&M University is the tradition and determiniation of the student body. I've never seen such a strong student body through the many college campuses I have visited. This is what made Texas A&M stand out to me.

From the moment I first visited this school, the friendliness oozed from the campus. I have never met a student here at A&M that has not been open to helping anyone else around the community. Not too long ago there was an apartment fire in our community. It was amazing how many different organizations and groups on campus jumped at the oppurtunity to help the individuals who were victims of the fire. I absolutely love that about our campus!

The best thing about Texas A&M is that all the students really are united as the Aggie family. Heck, even the teachers, parents, and former-students are your Aggie family. The Ags are really committed to helping each other and always show each other courtesy and kindness. Aggies always greet each other on campus and they are even friendly to rival football teams' fans on home gamedays. We treat everyone with respect.

The traditions at Texas A&M are the building blocks for the community of Aggie students. In every class, at every sports event, at every club meeting, the Aggie spirit and camraderie are tangible. Being a pre- vet student places me in many rigorous academic conditions, but I know that my prefessors, peers, and myself are all oriented towards the same goal of success, and that we all share the same common bond. Without the traditions of A&M, I would just be another student wandering around from class to class, but instead I get to be an Aggie.

Although Aggie jokes are just about the most common of them all, we A&M students are proud to attend this great university- and we make sure we have reason to be proud! As I mentioned before we pride ourselves on friendliness and community service, two things which one would not expect to encounter every day at such a large college campus! From the first day I stepped onto this campus, students and faculty have been going out of their way to make me feel at home- they are my loud, proud Aggie family.

The school spirit is undeniable. It continues with current students, former students, and alumni alike. There are very few band wagon fans (fans that support the school just because it's popular at the time, but have no real tie to the school). Aggies continually set the trend in community service with programs like Big Event and Car Pool. The family like culture is tangible through efforts such as bonfire memorial, red white and blue out, and katrina relief efforts.
