Texas A & M University-College Station Top Questions

What's unique about your campus?

David

The best thing about Texas A&M is the student life. As you walk on campus, most people feel very comfortable and "at home" because of how friendly and social students are. Most students at other schools tend to just go about their business, but at Texas A&M we even have a traditional way of greeting eachother in passing ("Howdy!").

The school's tradition is by far the best thing about the school. One cannot walk around campus without being overwhelmed by rich, cultural tradition. Aggies are extravagently proud of their tradition and this pride creates a commonality and friendly spirit towards everyone in College Station

Shawn

The campus atmosphere among the students is very positive. There is a lot of tradition here on this campus. The alumini have a very strong bond. Graduates from this school will take care of fellow graduates. This is an awesome experience here.

Everyone is very friendly and willing to help. There is tons of school spirit. You are able to get involved which is important and allows you to make friends. This is all good to have in a school because it really makes you feel like you belong.

Extreme, cult-like devotion to school tradition and school spirit leads to dedicated alumni that love to donate to the school. The business school is one of the best, too.

Everyone here is so connected. From the moment you are accepted, you know you've become part of something big. "Once an Aggie, Always an Aggie" is a quote used to describe the relationship between and amongst students and alumni here, and it couldn't be more true. We are all one big happy family, and if at any time later on down the road I run into another Aggie, I know I'll be able to count on him or her for anything.

Elizabeth

The best thing about Texas A&M is the Aggie Spirit. Everyone is proud to be an Aggie and most become very involved in the community. A&M is a large school with a tight-knit community with the heart being the Corps of Cadets. The Corps provide a safe atmosphere and are a very present "force" on the campus. A&M has alot of oppertunities for research and study abroad in all majors, including oppertunities for freshmen and sophomores. Even though we don't have a great football team, our stadium is very impressive!

Kelli

I think the best thing about my school is the network of former Aggies in the business world. Especially for business students, there are programs cand internships basically handed to you to help you after you graduate. The Aggie network will be helpful after graduation, because all the former students out there want you to succeed as well as they did, so they do whatever possible, using their connections to help out new Aggies. I think that is an awesome thing to know who all are behind you every step of the way.
