State College of Florida gave me a taste of the real world, and the taste was akin to a single hamburger at McDonalds. Not a lot there, not the best, but satisfactory.  Since SCF is just a community college, don't expect a typical college experience, as my experience felt like an extension of my usual high school life, with the main difference being that the school is farther away and that I could leave early. And if you're coming here expecting to make friends, then don't anticipate much. Many people there only really talk to their friends from high school; thus, meeting new people wasn't a common occurrence. That is to say, the school has no merits whatsoever, quite the contrary. The food there is cheap and extremely good; you can get a filling meal with a drink for less than 8 dollars, and the selection is quite good. The place is small, making travel a breeze; there are plenty of clubs and special courses to get anyone interested. Lastly, the counselors are extremely helpful, always helping out on any given notice.  The last thing I would like to mention is the availability of some classes. Since I focused on film classes, I wanted to take all the film-adjacent classes, but I was often unable to, despite the site showing many film classes, most of them would not be offered when it came time to pick classes since they didn't have anyone to teach them or that not enough people wanted to take them. Understandable, but a little annoying. Still, SCF is a pretty good school; after my two years there, I don't regret going there; it helped me better visualize what I want for my future. It was a fun experience why it lasted—a quick bite before the main course of life.

My degree has been easy to obtain thanks to SCF! In addition to working a full-time job, I started studying part-time online studies and will graduate with my AS in the summer of 2024. An SCF counselor advised me to pursue my BS after I received my AS, and I believe I am. SCF always answers the phone when I call. I can now get a real person on the phone for assistance. Additionally, the advisers reply to emails promptly. Due to SCF's participation in several scholarship programs, my education has become more inexpensive. It's simple to navigate the campuses. tidy and safe. I take pleasure in receiving my top-notch education from SCF. Students may find several tools to assist with their academic work! The student assistance program at SCF is one of my favorite features. from tutors, counselors, academic advisers, etc.! There are many of excellent lessons available. I usually have a terrific experience at SCF and I like my time here.

There are many great options for great assistance and opportunities at the school. In the library there are many great books that are relevant to situations that college students go through. They provide options to use different computers and systems to get school work done, financial applications done, and whatever else needs to be done. In the library it provides printers and charges to get work turned in, private rooms to record for presentations, private rooms for group study, private rooms for individual work, private rooms for test taking. In the library it provides assistance for school work such as tutors, great assisting personnel, and different settings for different learning styles and focus abilities. One thing I strongly dislike about The State College Of Florida is something that I would not hold against the school itself but rather the education system. In a few of my classes, my professors have a very hard time focusing enough to get through the course material. I am a hands on and in person learner but I feel like if I can not teach myself something than I will not learn anything. I have heard that the prerequisite classes are always the toughest and hardest to get through and as someone who is willing to push through the hard days to get to the level of education I strive for, I hope that I am able to win enough scholarships to help me afford the schooling that I need to in return help other children learn and grow.

Great school so far teachers are here to help us learn not toucher us. Sometimes they take too long to answer in the reception area but since I mentioned something to them I have not had to wait for that long again and hope it stays that way. Also I do wish that there was on campus housing or at least offer students full time some kind of assistance to help with living when they have no one to help.

    If I was able to have a conversation with myself about college life I would have gave myself tons of tips and advice. I would inform myself about the hassle of getting to school on time. I would explain to myself the frustration of trying to obtain financial aid for education. I would illustrate myself the hard work that I need to put in for school. In addition to telling myself about the hard work to put in I would also tell myself to not let the responsibility of school get me down. I would inform myself that even though the requirements for school can stress anyone out but I would tell myself not to let it bring you down into a depressive state of mind. The most important advice I could give myself because four years of paying for education is something I believe I should enjoy.

    Manatee Community College can be incredibly helpful, the teachers are all pretty nice, and the classes are very informative; overall, it's a great school to attend.

  4. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

    The most frustrating thing about SCF would be that if it rains there are no awnings over the sidewalks inbetween buildings. So for instance, if you need to get to your bio lab from the lecture and you have your laptop with you, then you are going to have to find away to get across the walkway without ruining your laptop or books and notes.

  5. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

    The school I currently attend is truthfully a very nice school. I only have one complaint, and that would be the staff. I personally believe that some of the faculty there should not be teaching. A few of the teachers I had, had no idea what they were teaching. Some of my professors barely even spoke English. One of my professors had come back after not teacher for 8 years, and he could hardly remember the material. While I understand that it is hard to find teachers with this economy, they definitely need to have higher standards when hiring faculty.

  6. What's unique about your campus?

    I consider the best thing about MCC to be the helpful faculty and staff. It made the transition from high school to college easier to handle. The faculty educates with the difficulty of a university but there are less students so they can have a more one on one interaction with their students. This is helpful when I have questions with the curriculum the professors are available for assistance.

    I tell my friends and family most about MCC's small campus and how comforatable it is to approach the professors. Small class sizes are a big plus as well. But most of all I brag about my own accomplishments with my grades and my efforst in achieving those grades.

    A person who has not set down and thought about the resposibility that college can have on your life. College can have an affect on your life in a number of ways fiancially and personally in my own personal experience with college I feel that one can have a better success rate if they are fully aware of the hard work and sacrafices that they will have to put into college in order to succceed.

    Unfortuately with the economy the way it is, more families are being forced to send the kids to the community schools just to at least get them started. I like our campus. They accept a wide diverse range of students that are will to apply themselves and advance their skills. As long as the student is committed to their education every student should be allowed to attend.

    Manatee Community College is the first college I have attended, but it is evident that from these past two years that this college is unique. The atmosphere in and around the campus is peaceful, and beautifully landscaped. When a student first starts college, he/she should have an ease in transition, allowing for greater chance of success. MCC provides students with a beginning that they can build on; gradually increasing the difficulty of courses, making it easier for students to work towards individual success, and feasible goals. The students and faculty are friendly, and make one feel at home.

    The State College of Florida is located in Bradenton, Manatee County Florida. This college is known for dentistry, Business plus many other academics that will benefit future plans or goals in life. This is a 4 year college where you are able to have duel classes with other universities or the are linked up to University of South Florida plus others if your want to continue for Masters or Doctoral degrees.
