As an online student at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), I can honestly say that I’ve had a great experience so far. The flexibility of the online format has been one of the most valuable aspects for me, especially since I juggle work and other commitments. The courses are engaging and designed to be user-friendly, making it easy to navigate the online platform. What stands out is the support from professors and the student services team. They are accessible, knowledgeable, and genuinely seem to care about your success. Every time I’ve had a question or needed guidance, they’ve been quick to respond and offer advice. The academic resources, like tutoring and writing support, have also been incredibly helpful in ensuring I stay on top of my work. I also appreciate the sense of community at SNHU, even though it’s all virtual. Discussion forums allow me to connect with classmates, share ideas, and learn from others, making the experience more interactive. Overall, I’m enjoying my time at SNHU. I really love the college! It has my desired degree plan and the professors & staff are very nice people. I highly recommend this college if you're pursuing a Liberal Arts degree because there are so many different options compared to the ones here in Texas.

  6. Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

SNHU offers both my undergraduate and graduate programs in Classical History and Philology as online degrees. Finding online colleges that offer more than basic history degrees is nearly impossible. I have been attending online classes for several years and have tried several different majors. I have attended the University of Phoenix, Ashford University, and American Public University System as well. Due to permanent disabilities, I cannot attend a physical campus. Online attendance allows me to proceed at my own pace, although that can be a flaw as sometimes I procrastinate sometimes.

I am currently not attending the school as I am graduating from NHTI and transferring over in the fall of 2015. However, I have known many students who did attend this school and they have shared their stories with me. From what I understand, it is a low student ratio which personalizes the class towards students and gives them that experience for the professor to cater the need of learning that students hope for student.

  18. What's the Greek scene like?

We have three sororities and fraternities on campus. The three fraternities and sororities consist of one nationally recognized sorority and fraternity and two local sororities and fraternities. The national sorority is Kappa Chi, while the fraternity is Kappa Delta Phi. One of the local sororities is Phi Delta Beta, while their brothers are Phi Delta Theta. And the last local sorority is Phi Omega Psi, and the fraternity is Phi Delta Psi. I joined a sorority my first semester of freshmen year and it was the best choice I've ever made for myself. You get the opportunity to meet some amazing people and there are plenty of sororities/fraternities to see which one is the best fit for you as each organization has their own unique personality to go along with it. Greek life at SNHU also likes to focus on community, working together, and philanthropy.Southern New Hampshire University also has a no-hazing policy so you don't have to worry about anything from the movies you've seen actually happening in real life. I definitely recommend looking into greek life no matter if you're an incoming freshmen, transfer student, or current student at SNHU!

  19. Where is the best place to get work done on campus?

Dorms are great, but Shapiro Library is amazing! It has a Starbucks cafe right on the first floor (and yes, you can use your meal plan money there!). On the second floor is the Learning Commons where tutors are located or you can go in and request personal, one-on-one sessions if you prefer that as well! The third floor has a quiet/no-talking zone if you really need to focus. My favorite place within the library are the private work rooms. You do have to book them ahead of time online, but it's all worth it. They're the perfect place to do work with friends while still being away from everyone else, allowing you better focus on your work.
