If I could advise myself as a high school senior, I would tell myself, in a nutshell, to experience as much as possible. In college there are clubs, organizations, seminars, visiting experts in varied fields, internships, studies abroad, short-term and long-term travel opportunities, etc. After college, opportunities such as these are not as accessible nor as numerous. Although there may be some extra costs involved in these opportunities, make the effort to somehow surmount the financial obstacles in order to gain the experiences and knowledge of life, the world, your future profession, and even the knowledge of yourself that these experiences will provide.

Set your mind straight, focus and don't get lost in the parties. Don't skip class and focus on yourself. This is all up to you now. You mess up and loose focus, it only hurts yourself. Learn to love yourself so you can achieve your highest goals. This is your future!

I would tell myself that college life really is not all that bad. You will have some days where you don't ever want to return to class, but you climb over those barriers and succeed at the tasks that stood in your way. I am living proof that you can do what ever you set your mind to. You also have a loving husband and family that have stood behind you one hundred percent. My advice to you is to do what you want, but don't pass up the opportunity of a two-year degree in Business Administration at Andover College.

I would tell myself to do my best to get a job over summer and to save up, because college was a LOT more expensive than I was expecting, and I don't know if I'll be able to make it this semester. I couldn't find a job last summer, and even while working as campus security this year I don't know if I'll make it.

I quit school in 1981 as a junior. I have regretted this ever since, at age 26 I got my GED after having 4 children. And have cotnued my education off and on ever since I have now raised 9 children total between my husband (2nd) and I ( and 1 grandson). I would go back to tell myself how rough it is trying to be a mother and work and go to school. I would tell myself about the trips to the city for assisatance and going to food banks to eat on a regular basis. I would tell my self to not do drugs (of which I have been cleanfor 20 years now). I woudl get my license and go to college before I had children. I have 3 at home still 2 are juniors in HIhg School and one grandson starting kindergarden in the fall. These and many other issues would be addresses.

I would tell myself to take charge in school. Become as better leader and pay more attention in classes instead of goofing off an being a dumbass in class.
